1．名词性习语
名词+名词：brain trust（智囊团），sheet anchor（最后的或主要的靠山）
名词+and+名词：flesh and blood（亲人，骨肉），ups and downs（盛衰，沉浮）
名词所有格+名词：a mare’s nest（骗人的东西，混乱），cat’s paw（被人利用的人）
