专业培养目标:本专业培养能适应社会主义市场经济建设所需要的德智体全面发展的地球化学高级专门人才。毕业生应具有扎实的地质基础理论、坚实的专业、计算机、外语等实用技能,较强的创新意识和创造能力,以及良好的科学作风,以适应21世纪地球科学发展和国家在资源、环境、灾害、国土规划以及国民经济其他相关领域对地球化学人才的需要。
专业毕业要求
1.具有扎实的地球科学理论基础知识;掌握物质成分分析测试技术及基本的地球科学实验技术和野外工作技能,具备从事固体地球化学、勘查地球化学和环境地球化学理论、分析实验、数据处理等工作的基本能力;具有一定的人文科学和管理科学知识及能力。
2.具有计算机软、硬件的基础知识,能熟练使用计算机进行文字和图形处理、数据处理等,并应用于地球化学研究。掌握一门以上计算机语言的编程技术。
3.掌握一门外语,具有较熟练地外语阅读、听、说及翻译的能力。
毕业生应获得以下几个方面的知识和能力
1.具有较坚实的数、理、化、外语、计算机基础。
2.掌握基础地质的基本理论、技能和工作方法。
3.掌握固体地球化学、勘查地球化学、环境地球化学的基本理论和工作方法。
4.具有从事地球化学研究的基本能力。
5.具有从事环境科学、资源开发方面的能力。
6.具有对地学及相关信息处理、成果解释和应用的基本能力。
7.具有基本的法律和道德意识、良好的心理素质、善于合作的团队精神及一定的组织管理能力。
主干学科:地球化学、地质学、环境科学。
专业核心课程:地球化学、勘查地球化学、普通地质学、结晶学及矿物学、岩石学、构造地质学、同位素地球化学、微量元素地球化学、环境地球化学、地球化学多元统计、分析地球化学、有机地球化学、土壤与土壤化学。
主要专业实验:地球化学样品分析实验、与地球化学数据处理有关的上机操作实验。
主要实践性教学环节:北戴河野外地质认知实习,周口店地质教学实习,秭归地质教学实习,秭归应用地球化学(找矿、环境、农业地球化学)实习,毕业生产实习,毕业论文。
修业年限:四年。

Education 0bjective:The program trains advanced geochemical professionals with all-round developments in moral,intellectual and physical excellence.Our students should not only have a solid foundation in geological theories,but also have practical skills in using computer and English,as well as innovative and creative thinking.After four years of training,our graduates will be fully prepared to be engaged in various job positions such as resources exploration,environment surveying and assessing, geo-disaster prevention,national land planning and so on.
Graduation Requirements
1.Master the basic theoretical knowledge of earth sciences;learn the techniques of material composition analysis and testing in lab and other experimental techniques as well as field work skills in order to have the ability to do theoretical and hands-on researches on solid geochemistry,exploration geochemistry,and environmental geochemistry;be cultivated in liberal arts and management.
2.Master skills of using computer and apply them to geochemistry.
3.Master English with proficiency in listening,speaking,reading and translating.
