Dear Grandfather Aka Dr.Pei
Thank you so much for allowing me such a rare opportunity to shadow a great doctor such as yourself for the past 3 weeks.In this short allotted,Iwas able to increasemy familiarity of both eastern medicine.Watching you work was truly a sight to behold for the speed in which you were able to arrive at your diagnosis and composite an antidote for each of your patients blew me away.In the United States,a doctor would only be able tomanage to see around 6 to 7 patients a day,yet you were able to examine 60 patients in a mere 4 hours!It is small wonder why your name bodes such high respectwithin themedicinal field.
During these sessions,I was able to attain a better understanding of the reasons why being doctor would be the mostmeaningful career choice that Icould make.Watching you provide such quality care for your patients and the grateful faces of your returning patients truly displays that comes with this line of work.As the fifth generation in our family to practicemedicine Iused to think itwould be a great burden to carry,but now I have realize that it would be an honor to become your successor and carry on your great legacy.
Once again Iwould like to express how appreciative I am that you have provided me with such amagnificent opportunity to watch a genius such as yourself atwork.Ihope that someday in the near future Iwould be able to become just as successful as you in both the United States and China.

在这过程中，使我更好地理解了为什么医生是最有意义的职业选择。看到您为患者提供如此高质量治疗，和您面对患者慈祥的面容，真正地体现了这项工作的神圣。作为家族中第五代行医者，我以前认为这是个很大的重担要去承担，但是现在我已经认识到能成为如您一般的成功者，能继承您伟大的学术经验是多么的荣幸。
再次表达我对您的感激之情，感谢您给予我一次如此有意义的，能看到像您一样的圣贤者工作的机会。我希望在不远的将来，无论在美国还是中国我也可以成为像您一样成功的人。
