朝鲜核弹头微型化

North Korea may have successfully produced a nuclear weapon small enough to fit inside its missiles. 

朝鲜可能已经研发出可由导弹搭载的小型核武器。

That information comes from a Japanese defense paper and an American newspaper. 

这一消息是由日本防卫报和美国的一家报纸披露的。

Japan’s Defense Ministry released its yearly report on Tuesday. 

周二，日本防卫省发布了年度报告。

The report said “it is possible that North Korea has achieved the miniaturization of nuclear weapons and has developed nuclear warheads.” 

报告指出“朝鲜或已实现核武器的微型化，而且很有可能研发出了核武器弹头。”

In a separate story, The Washington Post reported that North Korea has successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead for use in ballistic missiles.  

另一方面，《华盛顿邮报》报道称，朝鲜已成功研制出微型核弹头，可安装在弹道导弹上。

The newspaper said its information came from unnamed United States intelligence officials. 

该报纸称，该消息是一位不愿透漏姓名的美国情报员提供的。

It said their investigation was completed last month for the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. 

据悉，他们上个月完成了美国国防情报局的调查任务。

The paper also reported that North Korea has up to 60 nuclear weapons, more than two times greater than earlier estimates. 

报道称，朝鲜已研发出60枚核武器，这一数字是先前预测的两倍多。

Officials at the agency would not comment Tuesday on the Post report.

Over the weekend, the United Nations Security Council approved new sanctions designed to punish North Korea for its latest missile test.

Those measures aim to cut about $1 billion from North Korea’s $3 billion in yearly earnings from exports.

The North Korean government reacted to the Council’s vote with threats to take action against the U.S. government.

North Korea also said through its state-operated media that sanctions will not force it to negotiate over its nuclear program.
