Claire: Yeah, one year we actually just got him a box…a really nice box.
Phil: And we made the mistake of putting it in a gift bag.
Claire: So he played with the gift bag.
Phil: W…we can't get it right.
Claire: No.
Phil: I feel terrible. We got to do something.
Claire: Oh, yeah. Um, well, you know, the family is gonna be together for thanksgiving for the first time, and I don't even know how long, so…
Phil: I am so with you… we should blow this out and throw Luke the best birthday party of all time.
Claire: Yes, yes, and we'll order a whole bunch of pizzas, a…and set up an arts-and-crafts table.
Phil: A what?
Claire: Yeah, a crafts table. You know, everybody gathers around, and they make stuff, and, then, bam, they got their own party favor.
Phil: Sorry, I fell asleep while you were describing the most boring party ever.

感恩节（Thanksgiving Day）由美国首创，起初是为了感谢印第安人，后来人们常在这一天感谢他人。自1941年起，感恩节是在每年11月的第四个星期四，从这一天起人们将休假两天，和自己的家人团聚，不管多忙（有些特殊岗位除外）都是如此。感恩节在每年11月22日—28日之间，也是美国法定假日中最地道、最美国式的节日。届时，家家团聚，举国同庆，其盛大、热烈的情形，不亚于中国人过春节。人们在餐桌上可以吃到苹果、橘子、栗子、胡桃、葡萄、葡萄干布丁和碎肉馅饼等各种食物，其中最妙和最吸引人的大菜是烤火鸡和南瓜馅饼，这些食物一直是感恩节中最富于传统和最受人喜爱的食品。

be fine with是口语常见的表达，表示“就某事，某人觉得可以，可接受”，如：Anytime would be fine with me．我觉得任何时候都可以。
口语中，我们也常用It's okay with me．来表示自己同意、赞成，如：This Sunday would be okay with me．这周日可以。
by the way常作为插入语，表示“顺便说一下”，或者是突然想起另外的事而想转移话题，如：By the way, I love that movie．顺便说一下，我喜欢那部电影。
way在口语中有很多用法，一起来看看吧。
■ on the way/on one's way to表示“在途中，在……的途中”。虽然与by the way相比只是前面的介词不一样，但是意思差别却很大，如：I saw him on my way home．我在回家的路上看到他了。
■ in no way表示“决不，无论怎样都不”，如：She was in no way to blame．绝不应该责备她。
■ (all, quite, very much) the other way表示“相反的，颠倒过来”，如：History points all the other way．历史却是完全相反的。

blow sth. out直译过来表示“吹熄”，引申为“取消某活动、某计划等”。口语中也常用其字面的意思，如：

blow在口语中还有很多用法，如：
■ blow away不能直译为“吹走”，其表示“留下深刻的印象”，如：That movie blew me away．那部电影给我印象深刻。
