三、虚拟语气用于宾语从句

（1）wish + 宾语从句表示不能实现的愿望。可译为：要是……就好了；但愿……等。

表示现在不能实现的愿望，从句的谓语动词用过去时。例如：

I wish it were spring now.

表示将来不能实现的愿望，谓语动词用would/could +动词原形。例如：

I wish you could go with me.

表示过去不能实现的愿望，谓语动词用had + 过去分词或could/would + have +过去分词。例如：

They wish they had paid attention to your warnings.

（2）用在had hoped句型中。表示过去未实现的愿望，宾语从句的谓语用would+原形动词。例如：

I had hoped that my daughter would become a doctor,but she was not interested.

（3）用在表示建议、要求、命令、敦促等动词后面的宾语从句中。从句中谓语动词用should+动词原形，should常可以省略。这些动词有propose，request，arrange，command，demand，order，desire，recommend，move（提议），insist（坚持认为），urge等。例如：

They urged that we（should）take action at once.

（4）用在expect，believe，think，suspect等动词的否定式或疑问形式后的宾语从句中。谓语动词常用should + 动词原形（或完成形式）表示怀疑、惊奇、不满等。例如：

I never thought that she should be such a brave woman.

反之，如果不表示惊奇的情感，从句就用陈述语气。
