学名：Athene noctua

英名：Little Owl

形态：小型鸮类，体长20-26cm。面盘和皱翎不明显，亦无耳簇羽。上体褐色，具白色纵纹及点斑。下体白色，具褐色杂斑及纵纹。腹中央至肛周和覆腿羽白色，跗蹠和趾均被棕白色羽。

虹膜黄色；嘴角质黄绿色；脚白色，被羽。

分布：中国东北、中西部部分地区有分布。在保护区属不常见的留鸟。

习性：栖息于低山丘陵、林缘灌丛等处。常立于篱笆及电线上，神经质地点头或转动。能徘徊飞行，猎食主要在黄昏和白天。食性主要以鼠类和鞘翅目昆虫为食。
