柯岩风景区系首批“国家AAAA级旅游区”、“中国旅游知名品牌”，是绍兴县鉴湖——柯岩旅游区核心景区。她位于绍兴城西12千米，杭州东郊12千米处，紧濒中国轻纺城，是一处以古越文化为内涵，融绍兴水乡风情、古采石遗景、山林生态于一体的名胜景区。它始建于汉代，距今已有1800多年历史，至清代，形成著名的“柯岩八景”素为越中名胜。
Keyan Scenic Zone，the core scenic zone of Shaoxing Jian Lake-Keyan Tourist District，is one of the scenic spots called “National AAAA Tourism”and “China Famous Brand”.Located 12km west of Shaoxing，12km east of hangzhou and bordered on China light textile city，the scenic zone is a place of interests with the culture of ancient Yue as its connotation.It integrates the scenes of Shaoxing，a waterside village，remaining scenes of ancient quarry，and the typical forest ecological landscape.It was founded more than 1，800years ago in han Dynasty and has formed the famous “Keyan Eight Spots”since the Qing Dynasty.
现经别具匠心的开发营造，特别是2001年又开发了以再现稽山鉴水、田园风光、越地风情为主要观光特色的鉴湖景区；2003年，又建成以鲁迅笔下众多人物生活过的典型环境、故事、轶闻为主题的鲁镇景区，丰富了整个景区的文化内涵，扩大了游览面积，浓缩并集中展示了绍兴的石文化、水文化、酒文化、桥文化、名人文化、佛教文化和工艺文化，并有机组合成柯岩、鉴湖、鲁镇三大景区，可游面积达3.5平方千米，使景区成功地成为绍兴规模最大、功能最全，集吃、住、行、游、娱、购于一体的高品位旅游景区。
Jian Lake scenic area，featured by Kuaiji Mountain，Jian Lake，the idyllic scenery of Yue culture，was constructed in 2001under delicate design.In 2003，Lu Xun scenic area was built，which was modeled under the typical background，stories and anecdotes in Lu Xun’s works.These renovations have enriched the cultural connotation of the area and expanded the whole scenic area.It has concentrated and displayed the mini-sculpture Shaoxing wine culture，and water culture，bridge culture，celebrity culture，Buddhist culture and technology culture，combined Keyan，Jian Lake and Luzhen Town into a high grade scenic spot with an area of 3.5km2which is the largest in scale and most complete in function，providing accommodation，transportation，tour，entertainment and shopping.
