幼儿美术中的英语渗透

【摘要】:美术双语教育是以美术活动为主线,扩展有关美术的英语输入量,拓展学习英语的时空,提高学生英语运用能力。幼儿美术要素是形状和色彩,无论是绘画、欣赏、纸工等都离不开形象性和多彩性。因此,双语教学必须通过英语语言和美术的“形、色”结合实施。美术课的直观性、艺术形象和画面,与之相配的英语单词,学生容易理解。我们可以通过美术课拓展关于形状的基本英语词汇。

一、幼儿美术中的英语渗透

美术双语教育是以美术活动为主线,扩展有关美术的英语输入量,拓展学习英语的时空,提高学生英语运用能力。一般的美术课,重点会全部落实在渗透美术知识、技能运用、审美情趣和美术作品上。而双语美术课,幼儿在欣赏丰富多彩的彩图或实物同时,在自己动手实践的过程中,还要理解教师娓娓道来的英语词句。

(一)幼儿美术双语知识技能要求的落实

1.围绕美术的“形”与“色”开展教学。幼儿美术要素是形状和色彩,无论是绘画、欣赏、纸工等都离不开形象性和多彩性。因此,双语教学必须通过英语语言和美术的“形、色”结合实施。美术课的直观性、艺术形象和画面,与之相配的英语单词,学生容易理解。

2.美术语言与英语语言结合,拓展英语词汇。美术有其自身的语言,通过丰富的色彩和多姿的板块显示作品的意义。美术课在“形”方面的内容很多,如食物形状、形体位置、形体结构等,但是一般英语教材中形状方面的词汇很少,只有square,circle,triangle等,cube,cone,sphere等很少出现,不能适应社会交往的需要。我们可以通过美术课拓展关于形状的基本英语词汇。

在美术课中,颜色是学生接触最多的要素。颜色在生活中是多姿多彩的,可是在英语课中学生主要是学习red,yellow,blue,white,black等。但是在生活中,无论是衣服还是食品等都有着丰富的颜色,并表示着物品的质量。通过美术双语教学,使学生掌握violet(紫罗兰色),scarlet(猩红色),sky blue(天蓝色),purple(紫色),pink(粉红色)等常用的表示颜色的英语词汇。

3.普通词汇向专业词汇的迁移。在美术双语教学中,要注意英语词汇如何表达美术中的“形、色”这些基本要素,使用普通的单词表示美术学科词汇。如Use warm color to draw the triangle.Use cool color to draw the rectangle.使美术学科词汇通过普通词汇进入实用。

4.创设情境,提高语言运用能力。在教学环节上,精心设计情景,激发学生使用英语的兴趣。在学生对画画感兴趣时,教师会启发和帮助他们一边画,一边用英语表达和交流,在自然的状态中使用英语。我们也用媒体创设情景,把语言与画面、音乐有机结合起来,刺激学生的感官功能,使学生眼、耳、口、脑并用,提高学生英语运用能力。

T:Let us play a game named“Simon says”,OK? Are you ready?

(教师说口令,幼儿教师共同做动作。)

2.Presentation

4.Painting

T:Do you want to paint an animal with your finger? OK.There are four paints.What color is it? Everyone has a piece of paper.You can choose your favorite color,and use your finger to paint.If you think your finger is dirty,you can clean it with the dust cloth.When you have finished,you can show your paper to the teachers and tell them what animal it is on your paper.

T:Yes.You are right.Look!(Show a rabbit.)The rabbit has two long ears,two red eyes,a short tail and four legs.(Point to the rabbit's body.)

(1)T:Now,we will use clay to make animals.

T:First,you may make the animal's head or body like this.Remember,the animal's head is round.So try your best to make it round.And an animal's body is usually long.Please don't make the body round.Second,please put the head and the body together.Then please make the animal's ears,tails and legs and put them together.That's OK! Now you may begin your work.If you have any problem,I'll help you.After doing it,please name the parts of the animals to me.

(2)Time for children to make animals by themselves.Teacher should give them necessary help.

Discuss the children's works and praise their works.

(1)Using green paper or card,have students trace around the outline of their hand.This is best done working in pairs,so one student can trace the other's hand and the other can hold their hand very still.

(2)Cut out the hands.Students with good fine motor control can do this themselves.

(3)Holding their handprint so that the fingers point downwards,ask each student to write a Christmas wish on their hand.They can write their own wish,or one for a friend or family member.

(4)Using glitter,paints or whatever is available,decorate the hands,being careful not to cover the written wish.

(5)Collect all the handprints and,on a separate large piece of card,arrange the hands into the shape of a Christmas tree and fix with staples or glue.Ensure the fingers all point downwards.The fingers look like branches and leaves and the finished“wish tree”looks fantastic.Kids will love reading each other's wishes.

HINT:Where possible,use a combination of light and dark green hands.

You can make these cute little toy boats in just a few minutes.They are great for preschoolers and kindergartners to practice cutting with scissors,drawing,and molding clay.

Supplies:

●A wide plastic lid(like the lid from a margarine tub)

●A drinking straw

●Construction paper

●Kids' scissors

●A hole punch

●Crayons,markers,and/or stickers

●A small wad of play dough

(3)Sidewalk Chalk and Sand

What do you do with the bits of sidewalk chalk that the kids never seem to use up?

1)Smash into pieces and let kids create colorful mosaic pictures.

2)Combine with playing in sandbox and let the colorful pieces be“sprinkles”on sand cakes.You can even use shavings to create colorful“icing”between or on top of“layer”cakes.

3)Using dry chalk and dry sand,pour a small pile of sand onto a sidewalk.Rub the chalk into the sand to make colored sand—mixing and rubbing the chalk dust with the sand to tint it.Then,gather up the piles of colored chalk.Dampen sand slightly with water.Use the colors then inside sand molds—such as we have little plastic sand molds in shape of turtle,fish,scallop shell—to create colorful sand creations.We use bits of the many different colors in bottom of mold,then top off with plain wet sand,invert it to create the sand form,and the colors make a“rainbow”creation.
