崇学向来是我国传统,《礼记·学记》就明确记载：“君子如欲化民成俗,其必由学乎!”意思是君子想要教化百姓,并形成良好的风俗,一定要设学施教。又说：“玉不琢,不成器；人不学,不知道。是故古之王者,建国君民,教学为先。”意思是人不学习,就不明白做人的道理；古代君王建立国家,首先要做的事就是设学施教。可见学习之重要。
