Friends of Yale-China Association:
As a former student of Yale.I am very happy to be back in New Haven after half a century,I wish to thank Yale-China Association for giving this dinner in my honour.
Yale surely changed a great deal since my school days.During the last couple days besides discussion with Dean Richard Ferguson regarding the exchange program between Yale and Wuhan,I was so happy to visit Osborn Laboratory where I studied 4 years as a graduate student, and had a good visit with prof.Hutchinson with whom I had my“ecology”course. His lectures were so exciting and instructive that stimulated my scientific imagination.I also talked with M.S.Wilens,prof.Harrison's techician and assistant.Dr.Richard Weigle was so kind to take me to visit 233 Edward street.Dean Emeritus and Mrs.Charles R.Brown's home where I stayed for couple years. While I strolled on New Heven street and commons'it brought back my memories of old days.
I am leaving in a day or two.I hope I may have the opportunity to visit New Haven again, not of course at the interval of 50 years.
All the best to all of you,and thank you again.
