图书馆和食堂

图书馆是为学生们使用计算机和借书而建的。在West High唯一一个图书馆由两部分组成，计算机教室和图书陈设。计算机教室是我们通常上课去做课题的地方，比如在ESL和美国历史课上。每个学生入学后都会发一个用户名和密码。所有图书馆的计算机都和学校的网络系统相连。这些主要为想在学校完成工作的学生和需要团队合作的课题提供了便利。有时，我会去那里上网，查一查Centerpoint的成绩。

在美国图书馆里的书籍各种各样。在做每个新课题的时候，学生们通常都会到图书馆里找他们想要的材料。总的来说，小说和纪实类占了其中大部分图书。在那里我还发现了几本关于中国历史和发展的评论。其中很特别的是一些中国的领袖们还被当作了许多美国作家的写作题材。还有一些其它语言的书籍，但很可惜离开前我没有发现任何中文书籍。每个学生只要带了ID都可以随时借书。只有当你想要的书被扫到了你的卡上，书才会短暂地属于你。据说，不论逾期不还或丢失都需要罚款或赔偿。不过，美国人对待书还是很小心的，不会蓄意损毁图书。

The cafeteria in West High is the biggest one that I've seen so far. Even so,the lunchtime has to be divided into parts.Partly it is due to the great amount of students here.There are definitely abundant choices for you to choose for lunch.Pizzas and hamburgers are the main ones. Of course,they are the only two American foods that I knew before coming here.2 or 3 dollars can get you a lunch great enough,including a bottle of iced milk,a piece of pizza and snacks for whatever you want. To assure that I have food to eat in the cafeteria everyday,I have to add money to my ID card successively.There are also lots of students who do not eat here in cafeteria.They take food from home and eat in the hallway without heating them.American students basically don't care about whether they eat on chair or not.Most of them just find a locker and sit against the wall.Some of the students who may have even bought food in the cafeteria too refuse to eat inside and go and sit in the hallway instead.Lunchtime is indeed short in West High which is only about 20 minutes during which you have to spend time getting to the cafeteria,washing hands in the restroom,queuing to get the food and eating them up.Usually the encounter in the lunchtime was very colorful because the lacking of time can cause everything funny and also troublesome to me.

The library and the cafeteria are the two most unforgettable places during my stay in West High.There,I left both my memory of joy and trouble.They are the places documenting my truest life details in West High.I miss them.

West High的食堂是我现在见过的最大的食堂。尽管如此，食堂的用餐时间还是被分成了三个部分。部分原因在于学校的学生太多了。这里有绝对丰富的选择供你享用。比萨和汉堡是主要角色。当然这也是来美国之前我唯一知道的美国食品。两到三美元可以为我们解决一顿相当不错的午饭，包括一瓶冰牛奶，一块大比萨和一种你喜欢的小零食。为了确保我每天在食堂有饭吃，我需要不断地往自己的卡里加钱。这里也有很多学生不选择在食堂吃。他们从家里带饭过来，不加热就坐在走廊的地下吃。美国学生从不在意他们是否坐在椅子上吃饭。他们很多人就找到一个柜子然后倚在上面。有些在食堂买好饭的学生同样也不愿坐在食堂里吃，而是跑到走廊里坐到地下吃。午餐时间很短，只有20分钟。在这短短的20分钟里，你需要跑到食堂，到卫生间洗手，排队买餐然后将它们吃光。经常午餐时间的经历很有趣因为时间的紧迫会导致很多麻烦好玩的事情。

图书馆和食堂是两个我最难以忘怀的地方。在那里我曾留下了许多快乐和尴尬的回忆。它们记录了我在West High最真实的生活细节。我的思念永远留在那里。
