1◀◀刚刚送走老教练，卡马他们转过头来就去办公楼找张领队了，找他想问个究竟，大赛将至为什么要换教练？今后我们的训练怎么安排？还没进办公室，远远地就听到张领队在里面大声地演练着欢迎词：在中国的西北部，在青藏高原与祖国内地的结合部，镶嵌着一个明镜般的大湖——它就是青海湖。千百年来，大湖旁留下了无数个“日月山”、“倒淌河”那样的感人故事，也留下了无数首优美动听的“在那遥远的地方”般的好歌。今天为了自行车国际环湖赛，我们走到一起来了，让我代表雪湖俱乐部欢迎你法国的皮埃尔教练，欢迎你来自自行车王国的王牌运动员来雪湖队任教，希望你能带来阿尔卑斯般的风格和像你的名字“石头”般的坚强！欢迎你……演练突然打住了。因为这时，卡马他们已经拥在了门口，都呆呆地站在那儿望着西装革履的他，透过他们的眼睛，看到新的教练已经来了。

2◀◀当晚，雪湖队为皮埃尔教练举行了盛大的欢迎酒会，当他出现在红地毯和迎宾曲中，雪湖队最好成绩保持者男队员卡马和贡布远远地认出，皮埃尔就是在一次国际赛事中采用技术阻挡，影响了卡马和贡布的冲刺速度，让雪湖队与前三名失之交臂的老对头。人们常说，仇人相见，分外眼红。卡马和贡布轻声嘀咕了几句，便分头走进了人群。欢迎的人群中，皮埃尔正手执酒杯与欢迎他的人们一个个地碰杯。只见，卡马一个小小的手势，混在人群中的贡布会意地轻轻点了点头，便往这边挤了过来。过一会儿，当皮埃尔教练敬酒敬到卡马时，贡布不知从什么地方钻了出来，有意从背后撞了一下皮埃尔，两杯相碰樽破酒泼，皮埃尔的那件名牌晚礼服被红酒染得片片鲜红。混乱中，贡布悄悄地离开了，卡马假装着做着解释和道歉：真没想到会这样，对不起！对不起了！新礼服上洒满了红酒，让皮埃尔很扫兴，一脸不高兴地他早早退场了。主宾退场让欢迎酒会提前散了，也让参会的各位领导很没面子。

1▶▶Having seen off the former coach,Kama and other athletes immediately went to the manager,Mr.Zhang,in the office building.They wanted to ask him why he had changed the coach when the tournament was just around the corner and how he would arrange the training afterward.In the corridor they heard the manager was rehearsing a welcoming speech in a sonorous voice:“In Northwest China, where the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau borders inland,is embedded a great glassy lake——Qinghai Lake.Through thousands of years,the lake has inspired such legends as Sun and Moon Mountain,Reverse River^[1],as well as beautiful songs like Faraway Place.We today gather here for the International Cycling Tour of Qinghai Lake.On behalf of Snow Lake Club,I’d like to give a warm welcome to Pierre, who are from France and will be the new coach of Snow Lake Team.The super athlete from the Kingdom of bicycling, you are welcome to be our coach and I hope you can bring us the Alpine style and the rock-like strength as your name suggests.You are welcome...”Abruptly the well-dressedmanager made a pause because he found Kama and other athletes were gaping at him in suits from the door.From their eyes,they have known about the arrival of the new coach.

3◀◀第二天一早，皮埃尔在雪湖俱乐部总裁和青海多巴亚高原训练基地各位领导的陪同下走马上任。皮埃尔一到俱乐部就开始了对雪湖队的训练，训练场上所有队员都列队听训，皮埃尔一眼认出欢迎会上让他出丑的卡马和贡布也站在他的面前，并且眼睛里没有一丝的友善。然而，面对他俩的不尊和昨晚的无礼，皮埃尔像是并不记恨这档子事。通过当天的训练看得出，皮埃尔心里只有一个想法，就是要对整个雪湖队科学严格的要求和强化刻苦的训练，力争夺下今年环湖赛的团体金牌。同时，看得出皮埃尔非常希望在他担任教练期间，在他的带领下雪湖队的成绩能够很快上去，成为环湖拉力赛及一些世界大赛的强队。

4◀◀经过一周时间的摸底和训练，皮埃尔教练发现卡马吃苦耐劳、顽强倔强，贡布聪慧灵活、积极创新，俩人都具备世界级拉力赛的优秀自行车运动员的基本条件。于是，根据他俩的条件，皮埃尔对症施教，经常给他俩单独开起小灶，训练各种技巧运用，给他俩多讲点实践的东西提高他们的理论水平。在他的关心和培养下，卡马和贡布进步很快。

2▶▶That evening,Snow Lake Team held a grand welcoming banquet for Pierre.When he turned up on the red carpet in the welcoming music,from afar Kama and Gongbu, the best players of the team,identified Pierre as their old opponent who had defeated them in an international match.Because impeded by his technical hindrance when they were dashing,they missed the third place they would otherwise have gained.As an old Chinese saying goes,when enemies come face to face,their eyes blaze with hate.Kama and Gongbu spoke in a whisper and then they went into the crowd separately.Among the crowd,Pierre was toasting to people one by one.Kama made a sign to Gongbu,who caught his message and nodded.He squeezed through the crowd toward him.When Pierre proposed a toast to Kama,Gongbu came up and intentionally nudged Pierre from behind.Their glasses ran into each other and the wine spilled out.As a result, Pierre’s elegant evening dress was stained in a riot of red. Gongbu slipped away in chaos.Kama pretended to apologize to Pierre,“I didn’t mean it.I’m sorry,really sorry.”Pierre’s new dress was stained with patches of red wine,which gave him a wet blanket and he left all the presence,looking blue. Consequently,the welcoming banquet came to an end earlier and all the present leaders lost face.

3▶▶The next morning,Pierre was accompanied to Snow Lake Team to teach his first class by the president of the Snow Lake Club as well as the leaders of Qinghai Duobaya Plateau training base.On arriving at the trainingground,he began his training——all the players were standing in a line ready to listen to him——and among the players,he recognized unfriendly Kama and Gongbu that made an ass of him last night.However,he seemed to ignore their unkindness and rudeness of that night.Through all the training,Pierre’s target was clear——what he expected was to win the team champion in Tour of Qinghai Lake this year by the means of his scientifically disciplined requirements and enforcedly assiduous training.In addition,Pierre hoped that Snow Lake Team would made rapid progress and become the power team in Tour of Qinghai Lake as well as the other international competitions during his training.

5◀◀但是，有一天在皮埃尔教授体能训练中发现，运动员百米互背往返跑时，每次只有卡马背着贡布跑过去，返回时却是贡布背着手走在前面，而卡马垂着手跟在后面，主仆般的一前一后地走回来。皮埃尔为此很生气，问：贡布你为什么偷懒？贡布仰着头不吭一声。第二次、第三次……接下来的每次体能训练，皮埃尔发现贡布都是不背卡马返回。皮埃尔被贡布的行为气坏了，用新学会的一句藏语冲着贡布大声呵斥：真是一头偷懒的“爱右”（藏语：公牦牛）！面对皮埃尔的粗鲁，贡布傲气地挺着脖子沉沉地说了句：无论谁！也包括你我都不会背，除非你别当人，像你的名字一样，真正的是一块石头！贡布的话惹恼了皮埃尔，他生气地大声喊着：上帝都会让我转达他对你的惩罚！你要把偷的懒全部都给补回来！他当着所有队员的面，罚贡布做了500个俯卧撑后扬长而去。贡布一声也没吭，甚至连眼睛都没眨一下，顽强地做完了500个俯卧撑。过度的训练，让贡布胳膊上的肌肉不停地抽搐，趴倒在地上连爬都爬不起来。

4▶▶For a week of sounding out and training,Pierre found that Kama was diligent,stubborn and tough but Gongbu was intelligent,flexible and creative,and that they both had the qualities which a cycling player had in the world-class cycling tournament.Accordingly,Pierre taught them in different methods in terms of their different situations and often trained them alone to practice a variety of skills in order to improve their practices as well as theories. Under the concern and cultivation of Pierre,Kama and Gongbu had made rapid progress.

5▶▶But one day,in a 100-meter shuttle run session of the physical training——Pierre demanded players carry his partner on the back to run——he found Kama carried Gongbu on the back to run over to the opposite line every time but on retracing Gongbu just crossed his hands on the back and Kama went after him just as a lord and his servant walked one after another,for which Pierre was annoyed and questioned,“Hey,Gongbu,stop goofing off!”But Gongbu simply lifted his head and kept silent.The second time,the third…the followings were the same that Gongbu ran back without Kama on the back.Eventually,Pierre blew his top and lectured,“Lazy yak!”For Pierre’s rudeness, Gongbu stretched his neck arrogantly to say,“The truth is whoever,including you,I won’t carry on my back except that you are not a human kind like your name,a stone!”Definitely these words irritated Pierre and he roared,“Let me tell you God will punish you!You will compensate all for your laziness.”Before all the athletes,he punished Gongbu to finish 500 push-ups.Finally the overtraining twitched Gongbu’s arm muscles and then he collapsed,lying on the ground.

6◀◀看着皮埃尔渐渐走远的背影，卡马连忙跑了过去，一把扶起了趴在地上起不来的贡布，抓着贡布不停抽搐的双手轻轻地摇着，嘴里大声叫着：贡布！贡布！……贡布静静地躺在卡马的怀里，一声没吭也没有一点回应，筋疲力尽的他早已经昏了过去。

7◀◀见此情景，卡马二话没说，一把背起贡布，飞快地跑到了训练基地卫生所。人还没进院门，他就高喉咙大嗓口地喊着：海珠！海珠！快来帮忙！卡马在招呼在卫生所当大夫的妹妹海珠，让她赶快来帮忙给贡布做治疗，为贡布减轻痛苦。应声中，一位仙女般的白衣天使跑了出来，她就是卡马的妹妹海珠。海珠毕业于高原医学院运动医学专业，到训练基地已经四年了，是一位经验丰富、技术全面的运动学医生。当她看到贡布的痛苦表情，冲着卡马不停地说：哥，怎么搞的？什么人把人给训成这样了？怎么把人训成这样了？……她边说边拿来酒精棉球擦拭着贡布的四肢，直到每个手指头。随后，又在穴位上刺下支支银针，接着她一边继续用酒精擦，一边用力地为贡布按摩着。在海珠的精心治疗和按摩下，贡布的症状很快地消失了，渐渐地恢复过来了。看到海珠美丽的面颊上挂着一颗颗汗珠，贡布压住内心的感动，轻轻地说了一句：珠妹好女人。海珠听罢脸“刷”的一下红了，轻轻地说了一句：贡布哥哥好坏哟！你又开始胡说了。说罢转身跑了出去。

6▶▶Seeing Pierre’s shadow into the distance,Kama ran to Gongbu,helped the motionless partner up and seized his twitching hands to shake tenderly,crying,“Gongbu, Gongbu…”But Gongbu lay in Kama’s arms,quietly.In fact,the graveling man had fainted.

7▶▶At that time,Kama couldn’t do anything but carried Gongbu on the back and ran to the medical center of the training base.The moment he got to the door,he cried,“Haichu,Haichu,hurry to help me!”Haichu was Kama’s younger sister who worked in the medical center as a doctor.So she was asked to treat Gongbu so as to alleviate his pain.As a sweet voice was heard,an angel in white ran out, who was Kama’s fairy-like sister,Haichu.She graduated from Plateau Medical College,majoring in kinetic medicine and in the past four years,she had become a kinetic doctor with rich experience here.Seeing Gongbu’s painful looks, she shouted to Kama,“Brother,what’s up?Who has trained him to such bad situation?How can he train like this?...”As she spoke,she took an alcohol cotton ball to rub Gongbu’s limbs and then each finger.Following that, she acupunctured him and again used alcohol cotton balls to rub and massage him.With her careful treatment and massage,Gongbu’s symptoms were fading away and gradually he came back to life.Seeing the sweet on her graceful face,Gongbu was deeply touched but he refrained himself and lowered his voice,“Haichu,good girl.”Suddenly,Haichu blushed and said tenderly,“Gongbu,damn you,talk nonsense again!”Then she turned and fled away immediately.

8◀◀那天以后，真正的悲剧开始了，谁能想得到皮埃尔专门为贡布定做了一个真人大小的沙袋，作为训练他的专用工具，体能训练课时，好用它对贡布进行专门训练。同时，对贡布的训练量也是其他队员的两倍以上。面对皮埃尔的刻薄，贡布一声都不吭，一次次背起沉重的沙袋奔跑在训练场上。一个月过去了，在皮埃尔魔鬼般超强度的训练下，雪湖队全体运动员的体能有了很大的提高。但是，贡布却因为运动量过大，一次又一次被累得趴倒在跑道上。终于，他又一次累得躺倒了，住进基地卫生所。

9◀◀就是贡布住院的那天下午，皮埃尔手提着一捆啤酒从车上下来，要到病房去探视贡布。正巧碰到了海珠，便被她拦在过道里，海珠斥责皮埃尔：皮教练，你为什么如此的仇恨贡布？难道就因为他的语言刺伤了你？以前，皮埃尔只听说卡马的妹妹美得像仙女一般，没想到看到的海珠本人比仙女还美，面对如此的美貌的海珠姑娘，皮埃尔的眼睛都看直了。他故作傲慢地说了句：这种事你不懂，闪开！让我过去！面对皮埃尔的傲慢，海珠生气了，大声地说：不让！不让！就不让！不说清楚你休想过去！看到海珠真生气了，皮埃尔这才换了一种口气，大声说：我、贡布，包括你哥卡马，我们都是些为了荣誉而活着的男人！我说的这些话你不明白，也不会明白！你让我过去吧。但是，固执的海珠还是挡着过道不让皮埃尔过去。她的声音更大了：我就不让你过去！我才不管你的什么为荣誉而活！还是为荣誉而死呢！你这么故意地整治人就是不行！不行！再有嘛——你就别去探视贡布了，他不喜欢见到你！看到海珠如此狂傲，皮埃尔这时也生气了，大声地说：你这个人怎么这么不通情达理，大庭广众之下这样的大声吵闹？怎么你的性格和你的美貌一点也不相符？海珠立马大声地回应着：用不着你管！你管我性格不性格、美貌不美貌的，和你没一点关系……

8▶▶From then on,the real unmatched hard training began.Beyond all expectation,Pierre ordered a life-size custom sandbag for Gongbu as a special apparatus during the physical training.In addition,the workout of Gongbu is twice than that of other team members.Facing the harsh treatment,Gongbu had nothing to say.He just snatched the heavy bag onto his back and began running on the training ground.One month had passed.Through the diabolic overtraining,all the other players gained greater physical strength,however,Gongbu dropped on the course more than once because of the hard exercises and ultimately again he was sent into the medical center of the training base.

9▶▶In the very afternoon when Gongbu was in hospital once again,Pierre took a bunch of beers from the car to visit him.The coach happened to meet Haichu.In the corridor,he was stopped and lectured,“Coach Pierre,Why do you hold such grudge toward Gongbu？Just because of his insult?”Previously,Pierre heard that Kama’s younger sister was pretty like a fairy but just then he thought that Haichu was much more beautiful than a fairy beyond his imagination.Standing before such a belle,he couldn’t help focusing his eyesight on her.But he pretended to be lofty,saying,“This is what you don’t understand.Go away!Get out of my way！”In face of the man’s arrogance,Haichu was annoyed and cried,“No,no,no way!Just tell me,otherwise,on no account can you cross it!”Seeing she was really angry,Pierre changed to be gentle,declaring，“Gongbu, I and Kama,your brother,we all are the men living for honors.You can’t understand it and you won’t.Come on, let me go there.”However,Haichu insisted on blocking the way and uttered in a louder voice,“I insist.I don’t care whatever honors you live or die for.It’s improper for you to punish a player deliberately.Absolutely improper！Besides——you don’t have to see Gongbu.He hates to see you!”For her dominating attitude,Pierre was also really angry and shouted,“You are really impossible.Make such noisy shouting in public?It is out line with your character and beauty.”At once,Haichu responded,“Mind your own business!My character and beauty have nothing to do with you.”

10◀◀就在海珠和皮埃尔争吵时，住在这儿的病员和医务人员都走出了病房，站在过道里看着热闹。

11◀◀这时，整个病区里只有贡布一个人静静地躺在床上，昏昏地睡着。睡梦里他一幕幕地回想着皮埃尔担任教练这段日子，反思着他俩人矛盾相处的情景。反思中，他深深地为自己的所作所为而内疚。一声长长的发自内心的沉沉地吼叫：我不该这样！不该！我错了！这声梦吼让他从昏睡中醒了过来。

12◀◀就在这时，贡布也听到了海珠和皮埃尔的吵闹声，便打开了门从病房里走了出来，很男子汉地说了声：海珠妹妹让开路！是他做得对而不是我！是我错了他还来看我，让他过来吧！听罢贡布说这样的话，海珠粉红的脸蛋都气白了，一声：哼！又丢下一句：不像个男子汉！转身走了。

10▶▶Just the moment when Haichu and Pierre were quarreling,the patients and medical staffs here all went out of the wards,watching the scene of bustle in the corridor.

11▶▶At that time,only Gongbu was lying quietly in bed of the ward,sleeping in a trance.Unconsciously he recalled the days when Pierre acted as the coach of the team, and reflected on the contradiction between him and Pierre, feeling deep guilty of what he had done.He yelled from his deep mind,“I shouldn’t be that.Oh,no,it’s my fault.”The unconscious yelling caused him to come back from the faint.

13◀◀皮埃尔和贡布手拉着手走进了病房，皮埃尔把啤酒捆重重地放到了茶几上，做了个“请”的手势。就听俩男子汉的嘴中你一句我一句的，轻轻地嘀咕了几句。接着，两个人几乎同时喊了声：阿米！走步！……接着话音，俩汉子紧紧地拥抱在了一起。

14◀◀反锁着的病房门那天开得很晚，很晚。待病房门再次打开时，只见贡布已经喝成了一摊烂泥，嘴里还一个劲地念叨着：走步！走步！皮埃尔搀扶着他往运动员宿舍走去，可是没走几步贡布就一头栽倒在地上。

15◀◀过了许久，躺在床上的贡布渐渐地清醒过来，懵懵糊糊中，贡布回想起是皮埃尔将自己一步一步背回基地自行车队男队员宿舍的。想到这里，贡布这个“爱右”（藏语：公牦牛）般的犟汉子的眼睛湿润了。

16◀◀常言道：不打不成交，经过这次推心置腹的交谈，贡布理解了皮埃尔的良苦用心，皮埃尔也知道了贡布的真实想法，俩男人之间的对抗和隔阂消除了，皮埃尔和贡布成了哥们儿。

12▶▶Meanwhile,Gongbu heard the quarrel beween Haichu and Pierre.Thus he opened the door of the ward and said in a masculine tone,“Haichu,don’t be in the way!He is right.It’s my fault but he still comes to see me.Let him come to me.”On hearing this,Haichu’s pink face became grey pale and she uttered,“Darn it!!”and then turned to leave with words,“Be a man!”

13▶▶Pierre held Gongbu’s hands and went into the ward side by side.He flung the bundle of beers onto the tea table and signed to his athlete,“Please!”The two men exchanged a few words and whispered.Then they spoke up,“Ami!——Chogbo!...”Following the words,the two tough guys embraced each other tightly.

14▶▶Locked inside,the door of the ward was reopened after a long,long time.With the door reopened,people found that Gongbu was blind drunk,saying,“Chogbo,chogbo!”Pierre carried him toward the athlete dormitory but barely a few steps later,Gongbu dropped onto the ground.

15▶▶After a long time,Gongbu lying in bed came to be conscious.He recalled that he seemed to be carried on Pierre’s back to the men dormitory of the cycling team.At the thought of this,Gongbu,the yak-like tough man’s eyes were filled with tears.

17◀◀更有趣的事情发生了，这就是通过那天的争吵，让海珠也知道了，皮埃尔不是那种只会驾车四处兜风，伸手就是红酒、牛排，出口就是快！快！张口就只会骂人的法国浪仔，而是一个有思想、有能力、有办法的智慧型现代青年，是一个比卡马和贡布还要优秀的男人，并引起了海珠对他的好感。从那以后，基地的人们经常能看到他俩一块儿晨练、一块儿驾车、一块儿交谈的身影。

18◀◀看到被皮埃尔体罚累得躺到了住院、又被皮埃尔灌醉后背了回来、昏昏醉睡在宿舍的贡布。作为贡布的好朋友，卡马再也忍不住了，他匆匆来到总教练办公室找到了皮埃尔，卡马明确地说是专门来为卡马说情的。略有醉意的皮埃尔笑着对卡马说：说什么情？刚才我才把贡布给放翻了，我又把他从医务所背回了他的宿舍，他说他身体很好，没什么事，他已经出院了，我俩扯平了！没事了！没事的了！……

19◀◀听到这儿，卡马连连摆手说：我要说的不是这些，我要说的、要解释的是产生这些事情的起因，也就是第一次体能训练时发生的不愉快。第一次体能训练！皮埃尔教练你应该还记得？那一次，你和贡布发生了冲突。为此，我想和你再深层次地谈谈，并请你能更多地理解贡布。

20◀◀皮埃尔满脸疑云，不解地问：第一次体能训练？噢——对了！我记起来了，体能训练中贡布的不合理行为是对你卡马的不尊重，可是你倒好却要为他来说什么情，真的让人不能理解。听皮埃尔说到这儿，只见卡马一脸的严肃，他轻轻地对皮埃尔说：您刚才说到不能理解？是吧？告诉您吧！这件事如果想要说清楚，那话儿可就说长了。皮埃尔惊诧地问：要说的话有多长？卡马回答着：真的很长，一言两语是说不清楚的。现在我就最简单地说一下吧！教练你想听吗？皮埃尔轻轻地点了点头。卡马接着说了起来：贡布的爷爷很早以前是这儿的大土司，土司在你们欧洲被称为奴隶主，我的爷爷曾经就是他家的奴隶。为此，我能够理解贡布的行为，我也希望您能够理解他。看到皮埃尔还是一脸疑惑的表情，卡马又重重地说了一句：五十多年前他们还是骑在人背上的族群，可是现在你已经看到了，贡布已经改变了，他和我一块儿成为骑自行车的运动员了，一块儿骑自行车，一块儿骑！您理解这其中的含意吗？皮埃尔教练让我告诉您吧！这也是我们这个民族中的一次进步！你听明白了吗？皮埃尔教练你要理解贡布，他已经改变了！改变了许多！许多！卡马激动地不停地说着。

16▶▶As the old Chinese saying goes,“No discord,no concord.”Through the heart-to-heart talk,Gongbu understood Pierre’s well-meaning efforts and Pierre also understood Gongbu’s real honest opinion.From then on,the two men had no confrontation and misunderstanding.They became bosom friends.

17▶▶More interestingly,after the quarrel between Haichu and Pierre,Haichu began to know about Pierre.She got to know that Pierre was not the dissolute French guy who simply know to drive around for joy-riding,have red wine and steak,always curse people and yell,“quick, quick,”but a able,thoughtful and resourceful modern youth of wisdom.Even she thought Pierre was much more brilliant than Kama and Gongbu and she aroused the favor of the French young coach.Later on,people of the training base frequently saw Haichu stay with Pierre to do morning exercises,ride in a car and exchange ideas.

18▶▶Kama witnessed that Gongbu collapsed and sent to the medical center once again because of Pierre’s severe body punishment and that Pierre drank Gongbu down and carried him back,leaving him to sleep with a trance in the dormitory.As the best friend of Gongbu,Kama couldn’t bear it any more.In a hurry,he came to general coach’s office.When he saw Pierre,directly he declared his intercession just for Gongbu.Pierre was a little intoxicated and said to Kama with a smile,“Intercession?A short while ago,I drank him down and I sent him back from the medical center.Now he was fine and was released from there.We are even!It’s ok.Nothing wrong!...”

21◀◀皮埃尔听罢卡马的讲述后，沉默了片刻，轻轻地说了一句：哼！像这种理解对我来讲还需要些时间。听到皮埃尔这样的回答，卡马又开始不停地向他解释起来。那天，他俩一直交谈到了深夜。

22◀◀但是，从第二天起，皮埃尔对贡布的训练又恢复到从前，运动量也和别人一样了。三个月过去，在皮埃尔魔鬼般的训练下，雪湖队的成绩上升很快，队伍排名也处于历届环湖拉力赛最好的成绩。

Equally,he and I were members of the cycling club.We rode the bicycle together.“Together”,do you understand the implication?To tell you the truth,this is also the progress of our nation.Clear?So,as a coach,you should understand him.He has changed,changed a lot,a lot!Kama was overwhelmed and talked incessantly.

23◀◀入夏，一年一度的预选赛开始了，预选赛那天的比赛途中，技术全面和体力充沛的卡马和贡布一路遥遥领先，他俩与后面的队友拉开了很大距离。五十公里赛程一过，便到了被人们称之为“鬼见愁”的垃圾山陡坡赛段了，这里坡陡山高空气稀薄，其难度不亚于欧洲的阿尔卑斯山口赛段。这儿，曾让许多世界高手折马于此。在众多参加预赛的队员中，只有卡马和贡布不仅没有慢下来，反而加快了速度，很好地完成了皮埃尔的训练方法和意图。卡马和贡布不断拉大了与其他队员们间的距离，进一步验证了他俩的竞赛实力。

24◀◀但是，尾随其后的皮埃尔并不满意这样的成绩，教练车上他一手扶着方向盘，一手握着秒表不停地大声喊着：得贝写吐娃！得贝写吐娃（法语：快点！快点！）你个偷懒的“爱右……”（藏语：牦牛）这两个字还没有完全出口，就见贡布几个猛蹬超了过去，甩下一连串的“法国石头、法国石头……”一溜烟地跑远了。

25◀◀见此情景、听此话音，皮埃尔哈、哈、哈地大笑起来。他紧随其后，一脚油门，越野车轰鸣着追了上去。

26◀◀转眼间，卡马和贡布已经骑到了山顶的垭口高处，只见他俩一条腿斜挎在赛车上停了下来，向在山下面盘山道上费力爬坡的队员一边招手一边大声喊叫：冯肥加把劲！二愣子加油超过他们！他俩的呼喊声在山谷间回荡。

21▶▶Pierre heard the story,silently for a while,and said gently,“It is so,but I still need time to digest it.”As for Pierre’s reply,Kama continued to explain to him.That night they talked late into the night.

22▶▶But from the next day,Pierre resumed Gongbu’s training like before and his workout was same as others. Three months elapsed and Pierre’s diabolic training enhanced the achievement of Snow Lake greatly.Unprecedently,the team gained the best performance of all the tours of Qinghai Lake.

23▶▶In the early of summer,the annual trial began.In the journey of the trial,with all-round skills and vigorous physical strength,Kama and Gongbu held a safe lead,far away ahead of other team members.50 km had passed before they came to the steep part of Garbage Mountain also called“Devil Frowning Peak”where the road was steep and lofty and air was thin.The difficulty here couldn’t be second to that of Alps course.In reality,lots of top athletes of the world came here and failed.All the participants began to slow down while Kama and Gongbu accelerated their speeds and succeeded in implementing the coach’s training approach and fulfilling his intention.Gradually the distance between them and the others was becoming larger and larger.They fully demonstrated their competitive advantages.

24▶▶However,this couldn’t satisfy Pierre,who drove his coach car following Kama and Gongbu.He shouted with one hand on the steering and another on the stopwatch,“Dépêchez-vous!Dépêchez-vous!You,lazy yak...”Hearing this,Gongbu pedaled abruptly with force,leaving a sting of words,“French stone,French stone...”and flashed away.

27◀◀看到贡布、卡马他俩一脸的骄傲，听着他俩那样的叫喊声，再看着眼前这真真的一切，让皮埃尔原本欣赏的目光瞬间变成了惊诧。他的脑海里又浮现出五年前的那一次欧洲大赛。在那次赛事中，皮埃尔在坡路上面拼力十足，远远地超过了所有的竞赛对手，看着远远落后的对手，皮埃尔清楚地记得当时他也是这样哈哈地大笑。然后，他不顾一切地朝着终点标志猛冲过去。当驰过一个极普通的S型弯道时，不幸的事情发生了。因车速太快和过于轻视，加上实施技术不当，皮埃尔重重地摔倒了。救护车的呼啸声中，一辆辆赛车擦身而过……

28◀◀这时，就听皮埃尔大喊一声：决不让错误的教训重演！他一脚油门冲到了贡布和卡马身边，只见皮埃尔从车窗中探出了大半个身子，冲着他俩就大声地呵斥：谁让你俩停下的？你俩高兴什么？你们俩为了一块银币就高兴的笨蛋！一对大笨蛋！你们都给我听着！跟上我一直往坡底下高速冲刺！听清楚！你俩必须全神贯注！跌倒者就给我滚出俱乐部！

29◀◀四十多公里的长坡，皮埃尔把车速一直控制在85公里，越野车风驰电掣般地到了坡底。当他停下车来回头看时，才发现卡马和贡布已齐齐地停在他的教练车旁。皮埃尔尴尬地笑着说：真没想到？好样的，你们的下坡冲刺技术真不错！看着卡马和贡布古铜色的脸上没有一点儿反应，他又说了一遍：我这样做是为你们好，你们很好地完成了下坡的冲刺技术，好样的！你们真的不错！但是卡马和贡布的脸上还是没有一点儿的反应。听了表扬也没有任何的反应？皮埃尔真的不明白了，这俩家伙让他有点儿搞不懂了。

25▶▶Seeing the situation,Pierre laughed and laughed and then he slammed the accelerator to go after them.

28▶▶Suddenly,Pierre let out a cry,“No!The mistake will never be repeated!”He stepped on the accelerator and drove to Gongbu and Kama,hanging his upper body out of the car’s window to lecture them,“Who permits you to stop?What deserves your laughing?You,two idiots,can be satisfied for a silver medal!A couple of moron!Listen to me,sprint to the base of slope at full speed.Listen up,you must focus on it and if you fall down,get out of the club.”

30◀◀三个人就这样一动不动，静静地对视着，静到耳边只有路边油菜花丛中蜜蜂的蜂鸣。三个人就这样又呆呆地对视了好大一会儿，这才看见卡马轻轻地放倒了自己的赛车，径直走到教练车旁，用力地去打开驾驶员的车门。

31◀◀一直手都没有离开方向盘的皮埃尔心里在想，莫非他想和我打架？皮埃尔暗自嘀咕：哼！我才不怕他呢！也不能怕他！我决不会选择加油门开车逃走，这样他们会一辈子都看不起我！再说我曾经多次获得过校级拳击冠军怎么能怕他？念叨间，他顺手打开了身边车门。但是，他的左手一直处于高度戒备状态，时刻防备着袭来之拳。

32◀◀突然，皮埃尔又从倒车镜里看到，车右侧的贡布也将赛车放倒在地上后走了过来。这样一来，情况变得更加紧张了，不由得让皮埃尔心里一阵悸跳。然而，皮埃尔设想中的任何事情也没有发生，他们俩走到皮埃尔面前并没有动粗，而是友善的一人拉住他的一只胳膊，将他扶下了车。三个人一同走到了路旁的一块平坦的草地上，这才手拉着手站了下来。卡马故作轻松地对他笑着说：皮埃尔教练你就别夸我们了，我俩就是一对大笨蛋，我们不行，还是教练你行，是你棒极了，而不是我俩。从今天一直到拿到好名次，我们都会一丝不差地听从您的指挥！但是皮埃尔教练，你对我们的要求也太多了，多到数都数不清了。为此，今天我们对您也有一个请求，唯一的一个请求，想请您务必答应。皮埃尔听后立马回答道：有什么请求你们尽管说！一声：好——卡马说了起来：如果我们队拿到了这届冠军，你必须和我还有贡布也来一次比赛！皮埃尔点了点头，又轻轻地问了一句：就我们三个？咱们比点什么？卡马没有应声，用手指了指远处雪山的主峰说：这座山叫雪宝山，攀上去！并摘回一朵美丽的雪莲！如果你没能攀上去，没能摘到雪莲花，你就给我们也滚回你的阿尔卑斯俱乐部去！听到这儿，皮埃尔哈哈大笑起来，他二话没说，非常爽快地伸出了手掌。就这样的简单，三个汉子手出掌响约定完成。

29▶▶Pierre drove 40 kilometers downhill at 85 kph,his off-road vehicle whipping like wind until he arrived at the foot.When he stopped and looked backward,he found,to his embarrassment,that Kama and Gongbu had pulled their bicycles alongside his car.He said to them with a smile,“What a surprise!You two guys did very well going downhill.”But his compliment failed to stir any delight in the brown faces of the two guys.So he repeated,“I was harsh to you for your good,you know.You really did a fantastic job in going downhill.Very fantastic!”But this compliment again took no effect on the two athletes,which left Pierre quite perplexed.He didn’t know what to do or say to them.

30▶▶The three men looked at each other without a word.Around them was entire silence except for bees buzzing in the rape flowers.They remained speechless for a long while until Kama placed his bicycle on the ground and came up to open the front door of the car with force.

31▶▶Pierre,who had kept his hands upon the steering wheel,thought to himself,“Is he going to fight me?Ha,I am not afraid of him.Why should I be afraid of him?I won’t run away so that they have the chance to look down upon me.I was a champion boxer in my college;how come that I fear him?”In the meantime,he extended his right hand to open the door as he was preparing his left hand well for a possible attack from the young man.

32▶▶Pierre saw in the rear mirror that Gongbu was placing his bicycle on the road and walking up from the right side.The idea that he was in a more dangerous situation made his heart beat very fast.The attack he had expected,however,didn’t happen at all.The two young men had never meant to be rude.Rather,they took his hands and helped him get out of the car.The three of them walked hand in hand beyond the road to the prairie,where they sat down.Kama said to him with a modest smile,“Thanks, coach.But you flattered us.We are two big nuts.If we have done anything clever,that is because you instructed well. You are such a wonderful coach.From today on,we will do exactly as you tell us.There is one point,Mr.Pierre;you are extremely strict with us.So today,we have a request to ask of you.The only request we will have.Can you give your promise?”“What can I do for you?Please go ahead.I will try my best.”Pierre asked immediately when he heard the young man out.“If we win the championship in the match,”Kama answered,“Let’s play a contest among us three,shall we?”Nodding,Pierre asked in a low voice:“Only the three of us?How to play?”Pointing to the main peak of the snow mountain far away,Kama said,“This mountain is called Snow Treasure Mountain.We will climb to the top and pick a beautiful snow lotus from there.If you fail,you should get back to your Alps Club!”Pierre burst into laughter when he heard these words.Without saying anything,he immediately extended his hand,so did Kama and Gongbu.Thus they clapped their hands to make an agreement.

33◀◀就在卡马和贡布返回训练基地前，贡布又一次放倒了刚刚扶起来的赛车，单独一人走到了教练车前，留住了皮埃尔教练，像是有意要避开卡马，他和皮埃尔悄悄地又讲了几句。然后，就看见他俩人也响响地击了一次掌。

34◀◀望着贡布和卡马骑车飞速离去的背影，皮埃尔心里暗暗地想着，你这俩人也太小瞧我了，我皮埃尔是谁啊？我可是欧洲全能运动健将，我曾时时期待着和胜利者去比赛！这下子好了，今天可碰上你俩儿了！也包括今后雪宝山的攀登！就听皮埃尔一声大喊：我赛定你们了！皮埃尔必胜！喊声中他一脚油门追了上去。

33▶▶Kama and Gongbu were leaving for the training base when the latter put down his bicycle again and walked up to Pierre,to whom he murmured a few words.It seemed that he intended to talk to Pierre privately.When they finished,they clapped their hands again.

34▶▶Watching the two players speeding out of his view,Pierre thought to himself,“You two guys belittle me. You must know who I am.I am an all-round athlete wellknown in Europe,always aching to challenge any winners. Well,how dare you challenge me to climb the Snow Treasure Mountain?I welcome it!”

35◀◀随着大赛的临近，皮埃尔把队里的训练抓得更紧了，连续5天一天一个150公里折返的大运动量，让整个俱乐部陷入了深深的疲惫之中。

36◀◀每天训练回来，除了人员回到宿舍重重的躺倒声和睡觉时重重的鼾声及吃饭时的碗筷声，连以往闲暇时的吵闹声和重重的脚步声都消失得无影无踪了。然而，就是在这种疲惫中带领队员训练了一天的皮埃尔无论多晚回来，依旧坚持完成增加的训练量，不惧辛苦地跑完1500米后才会休息。

37◀◀每天清晨，人们仍旧能看到皮埃尔早起晨练的背影。同时，人们还发现这两天他的目光里充满了寻觅，人们常能看到晨练的他一边慢跑，一边四下张望。一天、两天、三天过去了，皮埃尔终于忍耐不住了。第四天一大早，他径直去了卫生所，使劲地敲响了海珠的宿舍门。谁曾想，他刚敲了一下门便打开了。海珠衣装整齐地站在门口，就像是专门在等待着皮埃尔的到来。皮埃尔急急地说：海珠！好久不见了！不是好久是几天！海珠！你为什么不和我一块晨练了？为什么不接我的电话？海珠你是有意在躲避我？是吗？皮埃尔情急之中话也说得语无伦次了。不是、不是、都不是！……海珠轻轻地答着话。皮埃尔更着急了，不停地问着：那你说为什么？到底是为什么？看到皮埃尔急成这个样子，虽然海珠脸上没有表情，她在心里却暗暗地想，这个皮埃尔小老外还算是情真意切。便故作生气地对他说：皮埃尔，我想跟你说……皮埃尔猴急地打断了海珠的话，又不停地说：你说！你说！你说嘛！海珠这回真生气了，大声地对他说：皮埃尔先生你不尊重我！老是打断我的话，我不和你说了，我要去上班了！说罢转身就要离开。皮埃尔一看把海珠都要气走了，他就更着急了，情急之中他一把抓住了海珠的手，连连说着：海珠你别走，你说、你说我听着，我绝不再打断你的话了。我没有不尊重你，如果我错了，我就马上改，这样行吗？皮埃尔嘴上不停地说着好话，拉着海珠的手也一直没松开，像是生怕一松手海珠就会跑了一样。看到皮埃尔着急成这个样子了，海珠差点笑出声来，忙对皮埃尔说：别急，别急，皮埃尔！别急，皮埃尔！你别急成这样行不行？皮埃尔嘴里连连答应着：行、行……只要你别不理我。海珠笑着对他说：其实我只生气一件事，就是你喜欢我……对、对，我是喜欢你海珠！我早对你说过了，我喜欢你！喜欢你你也会生气？皮埃尔不停地说着。海珠的话还没说完，就又一次被皮埃尔打断了。

35▶▶Then he shouted loudly,“I will play with you! And I will win!”He stepped on the gas and shot out after them.

36▶▶As the game was drawing near,Pierre assigned more tasks to the players every day,making a 150-kilometer trip from and to in each of the remaining five days.The large amount of exercises left the whole club over-exhausted.When the athletes returned to the base after training,they rushed through their dinner,went straight to their dormitories,lay heavily on the bed and at once began snorting.No chatting or heavy steps were heard as usual. Before he went to sleep,Pierre would run an additional 1,500 meters despite his tiredness from a days work.

37▶▶Very early in the morning,people would see Pierre doing exercises as usual.He turned his eyes around as if searching for somebody as he jogged on the road.Several days passed and he saw nothing of the person he was expecting.He couldn’t wait any longer,so he went straight to the Haichu’s dormitory at the medical center.No sooner had he knocked at the door than it opened and revealed Haichu,dressed up,as though she had expected his coming. Pierre said eagerly,“Haichu.We haven’t seen each other for a long time.Oh,no,not a long time,only a few days. Haichu,why don’t you come to do the morning exercises with me?Why don’t you answer my telephone?Are you trying to hide from me?Yes or no?”He was so nervous that he spoke incoherently.“No,no,no.”Haichu denied in a gentle voice.But this only made Pierre more impatient.He asked repeatedly,“So why?Why?Please tell me,Haichu. Come on.”Haichu didn’t make any reply,trying to hold her feelings back.She was more than happy inward,“The French guy actually falls in love with me.”But she pretended to be angry with him,“Pierre,I want to tell you that...”“So tell me,tell me,please.”Pierre interrupted her,which annoyed Haichu.She said to him loudly,“Mr.Pierre,you don’t have good manners.You often interrupt me.I won’t talk with you anymore.I must go to work.”With these words,she turned to leave.Momentarily Pierre lost his wits.In the confusion of mind he grabbed Haichu’s hand to stay her,“I am sorry, Haichu.Don’t go.I won’t interrupt you again.I apologize and will listen to you carefully.”He wouldn’t let go of Haichu’s hand in fear that she would otherwise disappear from him.Haichu almost burst into laughter but she managed to hold it back.She said to him,“Take your time, Pierre.Take time.”“Ok,ok,but don’t go please.”Pierre answered.Haichu said to him with a smile,“To tell you the truth,I am angry only because you take a fancy to me...”“Yes,yes,I am in love with you,Haichu.”Before Haichu finished,Pierre argued impatiently.

38◀◀皮埃尔先生，我说完你再说行不行？听到海珠这么一说。皮埃尔知趣地马上不说话了，只是在那儿不停地点着头。海珠这才又接着说开了：你说你爱我，你要娶我，要把我介绍给你父母的，可是，我有一点不明白，就是你为什么要和我哥哥他们打赌？为什么又要用我当赌注作筹码呢？皮埃尔，你们法国人不是口口声声讲民主和人权吗？可是你怎么能拿我去当赌注呢？我是一个活生生的人，不是一件物品，也不是一头牲畜，更不是一个奴隶——噢，皮埃尔我还忘记告诉你了，很久很久以前，我的爷爷、奶奶他们曾经是奴隶，后来，解放了他们翻身了……海珠你别再多说了，卡马已经给我讲过了，我早就知道了！皮埃尔接着话茬说了起来：海珠，我知道我错了，我不应该用这种方式来表述我的爱，更不应该把你当作我心中的情感筹码！尽管这个筹码代表了我的整个情感世界和完全、完全的那种感情依赖，就是那么一种？对了——就是你说过的什么，什么——寄托。海珠你明白吗？海珠你明白吗？皮埃尔边说边用手指着自己的胸口。

38▶▶“I said that long ago.Will you be angry about being loved?...”“Please hear me out,Pierre.”Haichu said. When he was silent again,Haichu proceeded,“You said you love me,you will marry me and you will bring me to your parents in France.But I don’t quite understand why you should bet with my brothers on me.I am a living human being,not an object,an animal,or even a slave.How can you regard me as something you can bet on?And I must tell you something.My grandparents used to be slaves before the liberation of China...”“Haichu,”Pierre said,“Please listen to me.Kama has told me about it long before. Haichu,it is my fault.Yes,it is.I apologize.I shouldn’t have expressed my love for you in that way.I shouldn’t have bet on you,although the bet represents my entire inner world. 39◀◀海珠把眼睛睁得大大的认真地听着，并轻轻地点了点头。皮埃尔接着又说：海珠我不会停止我与卡马、贡布他们的比赛，也绝不会撤回和你哥哥他们的约定！但是，我请你相信，我非常、非常地尊重你和爱你！为此，这次比赛中无论遇到什么样的困难，碰到多么大的风险，我都必须要战胜他俩！夺得胜利！尤其是那个贡布！他想……哼——没门！皮埃尔的话深深地感动了海珠，她再也无法控制住自己，一下子扑到皮埃尔怀中，俩人紧紧地拥抱在了一起。

39▶▶Haichu listened to Pierre carefully with her eyes fully open,nodding her head gently.Then she heard Pierre claiming,“Haichu,I won’t cancel the bet with your brothers,Kama and Gongbun.But please believe that I love you and respect you very much.For your sake,I will try to beat them and win the bet whatever difficulty I would meet with, and whatever risk I may run.Oh,Gongbu,he wants to... nah,no,no way.”Haichu was so moved by what Pierre said that she couldn’t help throwing herself into his arms. They held each other tightly.

40▶▶The Qinghai Lake was picturesque in July with flowers blooming everywhere.Tow days before the tournament,Pierre was heading his team from the training base at the lake back to Xining,the capital city of Qinghai.They took a rest in the middle of their journey.After their coach, the athletes rushed up a hill by the road,from the top of which they could sweep the landscape below with their eyes.Under the crystal sky,wild flowers were clustered around the glimmering lake.Sheep and cattle were grazing upon the extending prairie like milky clouds.The team was so fascinated by the beauty of nature that they couldn’t help cheering with great glee.Pierre winked at Kama and the latter caught his message immediately and exclaimed,“Snow Lake Team Go!Snow Lake Team Win!”At once he was joined by Gongbu,Fat Feng and later Pierre.Soon the whole team exclaimed at one accord.Pierre turned up the thumb to Kama.

40◀◀七月的青海湖百花盛开、秀美如画。大赛的前两天，皮埃尔才带队从湖边基地返回西宁。途中休息，皮埃尔带着队员冲上了路旁的小山。站在高处远远望去，大湖如镜，黄花环绕，蓝天如翠，牛羊如毡。看到如此美景，队员们兴奋地欢呼跳跃，皮埃尔向卡马挤了挤眼示意。卡马立刻心领神会地带头大声喊了起来：雪湖队加油！雪湖队必胜！随着卡马一遍遍的喊声，贡布跟着喊了起来，冯肥也跟着喊了起来，皮埃尔也加入进来，在他们的带动下，所有队员都喊了起来。喊声中，皮埃尔悄悄地冲着卡马伸出了大拇指。

41◀◀雪湖队最后一次召开赛前动员大会，张领队率先做着长篇大论式的赛前动员报告。卡马和贡布坐在倒数二排，与几个队友叽叽咕咕地说着：张领队的报告太长了，讲完国际形势，又讲国内形势，讲完伊拉克，又讲阿富汗……坐在卡马旁边的二愣子早不耐烦了，轻声地说：真是领队啊！关键时候可真能说会道呀。冯肥把话接上了：你真以为人家领队领队啥都不会，吃饱就睡呢？你们看他多能讲啊！幸亏下边还安排了几位领导要发言，不然他非得给我们讲完月球讲火星，讲完火星讲太空，说不定还会讲一会UFO、什么飞碟探索呢？冯肥的这番话引得大伙一阵笑声。张领队听到台下的骚动和笑声，自己也感觉讲得太长了，立马来了个顺坡下驴，连忙说：讲得太多了，太多了，我今天就讲到这儿了，下面嘛——请总教头皮埃尔讲讲大赛中的战术运用，大家鼓掌!

43◀◀咬嘛——就是紧紧咬住这次参赛中成绩优异者，让他们躲不掉！甩不脱！缠！就是二线队员将对方主力队员死死缠住，运用各种技术和战术，影响和作用他们，就像我当年整治你们一样。讲到这他用眼扫了一下卡马，继续说，有理有据地协助我们主力队员创造更好成绩。超嘛——就是每时每刻、随时随地想着用什么战术超越对手，超过他们！去夺取胜利！讲到超嘛我认为最后看的还是人的综合素质的优劣，优胜劣汰在这时表现得将会淋漓尽致。因此，我认为超嘛——最主要的就是超越自我，只有能不断地超越了自我，才能最后去超越别人！讲到这，皮埃尔稍稍停顿了一下又接着说：在这里我讲一下自己的亲身体会，我最初又为什么会选择参加自行车赛运动呢？因为我从很小的时候就认为这种自行车的赛事最不容易被金钱异化，这是一种清清白白的运动和赛事，这项运动绝不可能玩得和足球的赌球那么臭！

46◀◀皮埃尔教练，我也想问问您是用怎样一种热爱法去爱我们青海湖的自行车运动的呢？你能给我们也讲讲吗？皮埃尔的发言还没有讲完就被贡布给这样打断了。皮埃尔面对下属的提问丝毫未感到惊讶，他深深地了解和熟悉他们，知道他们也一定会反问到他，只是他没有想到这个提问来得会这样的早。

45▶▶He cleared his throat and went on,“Bicycling is universally acknowledged as one of the best sports for it is economical and free of environmental pollution.It does save large facilities or big capital.Besides,bicycling is a fair sport.I hope you love it and pursue it as your lifetime career just like me.“Now,Kama,would you please tell us how you feel about the Tour of Qinghai Lake?”He asked Kama unexpectedly.Kama stood up and answered almost without thinking:“I will do whatever I can to glorify my nation.”“And Gongbu,how do you feel about the event?”Pierre asked Gongbu.“Qinghai Lake is my mother lake and I will love the Tour of Qinghai Lake as my life.”Pierre nodded his head in approval,“Good,good.Very good!”

46▶▶Just before he continued his speech,he was interrupted by Gongbu,who asked,“Mr.Pierre,I would like to know how you feel about the Tour of Qinghai Lake?”Pierre was not surprised at this question at all because he knew them well and he knew that they would ask him a question in return.He hadn’t,however,expected that the question would come so early.

47▶▶He stood up gently and remained silent there while so many eyes were watching him and eagerly,expecting him to utter something.He stood there,however,still without a word.The athletes began to wonder and suspect, whispering to each other.At last,Pierre opened his mouth again,but this time he spoke in French,“Je l'aime,prendre soin et de consacrer ma vie au sport tout comme ma fille bien-aimée”He said something like reading a poem and then explained it in his influent Chinese,“I have answered that question in my mother tongue.I said I will love,take care of and devote my life to the sport just as my beloved girl. Love it heart and soul!Love it for my life!”

48◀◀皮埃尔的话音刚落，紧接着几个队员在卡马的带领下冲上了讲台，皮埃尔教练在汉子们的臂膊中一次次地被高高地抛起。那一天，赛前动员大会开火了，坐在后排的海珠姑娘的脸羞红了。

48▶▶Before he finished his words,the room burst into applauses.Very quickly Kama and several other athletes rushed to the rostrum and hurled Pierre high into the air again and again.The meeting arrived at a climax and Haichu flushed with shyness at the back row.

49▶▶The 2008 Tour of Qinghai Lake drew to a close after fierce competitions of seven days.At the closing ceremony,big hot air balloons could be seen floating almost 100 meters high in the sky.From the balloons were drooping colored scrolls which looked like gigantic columns towering among the banners.While manager Zhang was holding the champion medal up to celebrate their victory,however, Pierre,Kama and Gongbu had left behind the rat-tat-tat of firework and the beating drums in the car to the Snow Treasure Mountain.

50▶▶The mountain was surrounded by many lesser mountains and rose into the heaven.Its peak was clothed in jady snow all the year round.From where the snow ended, brooks murmured through the green grass.Larks arose in alarm from the grass from time to time,chirping crisp like music.Sheep were herded by a shepherdess?who held a whip in her hand.They moved from here to there,from one hill to another like floating clouds.

49◀◀经过七天的比赛，2008环青海湖拉力赛终于落下了帷幕，闭幕式上，蓝天白云之间，几个硕大的热气球悬下的几条近百米的彩色条幅，远远望去仿佛是竖在彩旗丛中的擎天大柱。鞭炮和锣鼓声中，当张领队双手高举着团体冠军奖杯还在向人们炫耀的同时，皮埃尔、卡马、贡布早已驱车来到了雪宝山下。

50◀◀雪宝山群山环绕高耸入云，峰顶终年积雪白晶如玉，雪线以下绿草葱葱，溪水潺潺。时不时草丛中惊起几只山雀，啾……啾的欢叫声，清脆婉转如歌。绿色间，羊群像浮动的白云，在牧羊女的鞭声中，从这片山冈飘向另一个山冈……

51◀◀望着这一切，皮埃尔不停地感叹着：太美了！太美了！……就在这时卡马的一声：皮埃尔教练这雪宝山上下攀爬得用四个小时，现在是10点20分，天黑前咱们要赶回基地。您准备好了没有？咱们的比赛可以开始了吗？卡马的话打断了皮埃尔的感叹。皮埃尔没有马上答复，他先傲傲地转过头望了望大湖，又回过头来看了看面前的大山，非常绅士地点了点头，这才轻轻地应了一声：我早已准备好了，随时恭迎你们的挑战！当然了，更关键的是我一定要战胜贡布！必须的！

52◀◀伴着贡布一声：预备——接着一声长长脆脆的口哨，三个汉子猛虎般地冲向了山顶。

51▶▶“Wow,how beautiful a scene!How beautiful!...”Pierre kept exclaiming,apparently amazed by the spectacular view.“Coach,it will take us at least four hours to climb up and down the Snow Treasure Mountain.It’s 10:20 already,so we must get a wiggle on!Are you ready?Shall we start out right now?”Kama tried to warn Pierre of the time.Without replying instantly,Pierre proudly turned his eyes toward the great lake and then the huge mountain.He nodded like a gentleman,saying,“Already,I am prepared. Let’s do it anytime you want!Of course,I am sure to defeat Gongbu!It’s a must!”,his right fist stretching up.

52▶▶“Get set!”with a long and resounding whistle, the three warriors dashed toward the peak like tigers.

53▶▶The awarding ceremony on the finish point was still on with an innumerable throng of people.In a secluded spot northwest of the holding place parked an off-road vehicle,where lied the movable ambulance center of the contest.In the vehicle,Haichu sat down on the driver’s seat in a pretended quiet manner,her one hand rested on the steering wheel,another kept tuning different radio channels.Following the changing wave band,the news and music came in turn.Actually,her eyes expressions and fidgeting movements did in a way reveal her anxieties and worries and every now and then the ineffable sensation of blissfulness and fervidity.

54▶▶All at once,a piece of news came out from the radio,“Emergency!Emergency!Today right before 12:00a. m.,the temperature in the region along the Qinghai Lake will be seeing a drop of 13 degrees under a flow of cold air. The Snow Treasure Mountain region will thus suffer a blizzard.Please get everything arranged…Just before the news was over,the off-road vehicle was already seen snarling its way at full throttle through the crowd to a 100-meter prosperous commercial street and pulled over at a shop dealing with Tibetan clothes.Haichu got off immediately and hurried into the shop,grabbing three men’s Tibetan robes on the counter and without further ado,she rushed out.At this sight,the shopkeeper ran out at once from behind the counter and asked loudly,“I recognize you!Doctor Haichu!The three robes are not cheap!Why do you take them to run away without bargain?What do you hurry for?”Before the shopkeeper could actually run out of his premise,the vehicle had gone far with its horn roaring,and from afar the voice of Haichu was heard,“Don’t worry,Sir. The three robes will be in urgent need!For a rescue in Snow Treasure Mountain!I will pay you on my return! Count on me!”

53◀◀终点颁奖仪式还在继续进行着。在人山人海的会场西北角的僻静处，大会移动救护站就设在越野车上。海珠独自静静地坐在驾驶员的座位上，一只手放在方向盘上，另一只手轻轻地调着频道旋钮，波段不停地转换中，新闻和音乐不断地被切换，不断地被拨过。人们不难发现从她的眼神和动作中无不透露着焦虑和担忧，同时，也不时地透露着那么一种说不出的幸福和炽热。

54◀◀突然，从广播中传出：紧急通知，紧急通知，今天中午12时之前，受冷气流的影响，青海湖周边地区的气温将会下降13度左右，由于冷气流的影响，雪宝山地区将会有暴风雪，望各部门做好……广播还未听完，越野车已经发动了，重重地油门下越野车吼叫着冲出了人群，穿过喧闹的百米商街，在一个卖藏服饰的商铺前停下了。海珠急匆匆地下了车直入店内，柜台前她二话没说抱起三件男式藏袍转身就往外跑。见此情景，店主老汉急忙从柜台后面追了出来，大声地问：海珠大夫！我认识你的！你拿的这可是贵东西，你价钱都不谈你就抱跑了？你急什么？还不等他追出门，越野车轰鸣着已经跑远了，远远地传来了海珠亲切的回答：大叔您别害怕，这三件袍子我有急用，我要去雪宝山救人，一回来我就把钱给您送来！您就放心吧！

55◀◀望着渐渐远去的车影，老人轻声地一句咏诵：美丽的仙女驾祥云施善！

55▶▶Seeing the vehicle was gradually out of sight,the old shopkeeper uttered a slight chant,“The beautiful fairy will be riding the mist to save lives!”

56▶▶Not until 11:37 a.m.did Haichu finally arrived and she stopped her ambulance beside the coach vehicle. From the long distance,three dots could be seen inching upward.“Three fools!What’s the point of your itching to fight it out?You are just forcing me into a big trouble in the coming blizzard!”,cursed Haichu inwardly while hooting the horn incessantly.The horn was roaring in the whole valley,but still not enough to be heard for such a long distance.Simply she saw the three guys were climbing up and up.Meanwhile,cloud and mist were seen taking shape atop the mountain,and things were getting worse.At this critical moment,she hit upon her mother’s words——People need to gather dairy manure in cold days and seek for cudgels in emergency.Since with cudgel one can keep away wolves and in cold days dairy manure does help much.A good idea therefore just passed through her and she acted upon the idea without delay.Soon after,she gathered a large heap of dry dairy manure,with which and in a flat beach land at the mountain foot she sketched three big characters——Come down now!Then,upon the characters,she poured a full tank of spare gasoline.For lack of match and lighter,Haichu picked up two stones from the beach and managed to get some sparks by giving a vigorous blow.All at once,the gasoline was ignited setting fire to the dairy manure,the flames sprang up to heaven. Watching the smoke rolling up from the burning oil and casting a glance at the three pots climbing upward still, Haichu thought to herself,“It seems not to work!Telling them the danger in person must be the only way out.”Thereupon,she dashed to the mountain,taking the robes.In her anxiety,she kicked at the coach vehicle,yelling out,“Pierre,here!You bastard!You once strained your eyes hard on me in the improper moment!But right now,in the critical moment,you don’t loot at me!Here!Turn around and look at me!”With that,crazily Haichu ran for the Snow Treasure Mountain being hung over gradually in dense fog.

56◀◀十一点三十七分，海珠终于把车停在了教练车旁。远远望去，雪线上三个小黑点在慢慢地向上蠕动着。海珠在心里暗暗地骂了一句：三个笨蛋哥！你们这么急着要比出个高低，有什么意思嘛？暴风雪都来了，你们这么一比不是想逼死我呀！海珠边说边按着喇叭，嘟——嘟嘟、嘟——嘟、嘟的喇叭声响彻山谷。无奈由于距离太远，山上的人根本无法听到，海珠眼睁睁地看着那三个小黑点还在上升。同时，她还看到山顶已经起了云雾，情况越来越急迫了。情急之中，她想起了阿妈教过的一句话，冷了捡牛粪，危急找木棒，有木棒可以打狼，天冷时牛粪的用处可就多了。于是，她灵机一动马上行动，很快捡来了一大堆干牛粪。在山下一块平坦的河滩地上，她用牛粪摆下了大大的三个字——快下山！并在上面浇了满满的一桶备用汽油。没有火柴，火机，海珠随手捡了两块石头用力一敲，油着粪燃，火光冲天。望着浓烟滚滚的火字，又望了望山上继续攀爬的人影，海珠暗暗地想：字也写了，火也放了，他们还不停下来，看来只得去追他们了。于是，她抱起了袍子就往山上跑，情急之中，她生气地对着教练车就是两脚，大声喊着：皮埃尔坏蛋！不叫你看我时你偏使劲看，该你看时你又不看，你给我回过头来看一下我！我在这儿！喊叫声中，海珠发疯般地向渐渐被迷雾笼罩着的雪宝山跑去。

57▶▶Not far from the peak,a section of ice block stood in the way.With a sharp stone,Kama ranged below the ice block and hammered at the ice wall occasionally,seeking for the road upward.Pierre,however,just sat back gulping in air.Gongbu,left behind for 1000 meters more, was then striving for his way up discreetly.After finding no way upwards with efforts,Kama returned to Pierre helplessly and sat down beside him.“Coach,you are not bad!In our dialect,you are only too excellent!”admired Kama.“Not too bad,thanks!But I can now hardly take my breath!I am no match for you!”panted Pierre.“No,no, no,it’s not like that.I am local,and I’ve grown up right here,well adjusted to the climate and altitude.It’s no less than dozen of times I’ve climbed up the mountain,which is now quite to my intimate knowledge.But still,I’ve been followed tightly by you all the way here,what does it say?It says that you are really excellent!”“Not…”Pierre was interrupted by Kama who continued in sepulchral tones,“Coach,I have to talk to you!And I hope you stay cool. Actually,we both bore evil minds when arranging with you to climb the Snow Treasure Mountain.I meant to impose upon your unfavorable physical condition at altitude,since you were hard on us in the training courses.As for Gongbu, he’s been carrying the torch for Haichu for years,you know.We three grew up together.Still he didn’t go further and stopped in the period of silent love.If in terms of our traditional rules,unconditionally,Haichu should be marrying Gongbu as long as Gongbu propose to her.When he found the other day that you’ve been in love with Haichu,he was rather anxious and eager to win Haichu’s heart again via the climbing which he thought was the only contest he could get the best of you,given that he was inferior to you in any other contest.But it never occurred to him that you are so comprehensive a man,leaving him a total failure once more. Ech!Now in retrospect,we were quite narrow-minded and we shouldn’t…”

57◀◀离峰顶不远，一段冰壁挡住了去路，卡马手握一块尖石在冰壁下转悠着敲打着探寻着上山的路，皮埃尔累得坐在一旁喘着粗气。再看贡布已被甩下有一千多米，还在下面慢慢地往上攀爬着。四处探路寻找无果后，卡马转了回来无奈地坐在了皮埃尔身旁，说：皮埃尔教练，你真不错！照我们这里的话讲——你一挂都很优秀呗！皮埃尔喘着粗气答应着：优秀的什么，我气都快喘不上来了，哪有你优秀啊？连大气都不喘。卡马连连几个：不！不！不是！我是当地人，从小就在这儿长大，习惯这儿的气候和海拔了，这个雪宝山我已攀爬过十几次了，这座山我太熟了。就这——不是还被你紧追到此，这说明什么？只能说明教练你才优秀！皮埃尔刚说半句：我不……话便又被卡马打断了。他语气低沉地说：皮埃尔教练，你听我说吧！听过之后你也千万别生气。我和贡布约你攀爬雪宝山的目的就是不善良的，我嘛——原本是想利用海拔上的身体差异欺负一下你，谁让你一直都是管我们的人。贡布嘛——你是知道的，我和贡布还有海珠都是一起长大的，贡布他一直暗恋着我妹妹海珠。但是他从没有向我妹妹表述，按我们这儿的老规矩，只要贡布说了话海珠就该无条件地嫁给他。前些日子，他看到海珠和你在恋爱，他真的着急了怕失去海珠。就想通过这次比赛夺回海珠，因为，他知道比赛别的什么项目，他更胜不了你。没有想到你哪个方面都这么强，你看他这次又输了并输得这么惨。唉！现在细细想起来，我实话对你说吧，现在我也都明白了，我俩的心眼太小了，太不……

58◀◀皮埃尔打断了卡马的话，喘着大气轻轻慢慢地说：卡马，你们做事很实在，我早都明白这次比赛的用意，所以我答应了你们的挑战，因为我没有把你们当外人，你、我和贡布我们应该都是朋友，所有的俱乐部同事也应该都是朋友。这些天来，在离天很近的这片圣地，在青海湖这张人生大镜前，在你们这些人心如水的朋友之中，让我领悟到也学到了许多许多，其中之一就是：什么是朋友？真心的朋友之间，也就是在阿米！走步！之间，我们所做的一切，应该是：不谈目的，不讲胜负，不计对错，不图钱财，不为贵贱，不论尊长，对了，还要不分种族，只要我们真心相交，这个朋友就是真朋友！好朋友！卡马你说对不对？卡马听罢连连点着头。

59◀◀就在这时，皮埃尔车钥匙上的防盗器响了起来，皮埃尔本能地往山下望去。首先，他看到的是熊熊燃烧着的“快下山”三个大字。同时，看到了海珠开的救护车也停在教练车旁。皮埃尔大声地喊了起来：卡马快看!有情况！海珠开着救护车来了！喊声中，卡马也看到了一切，他又细细地看了一下周边的天空，急急地说了一句：雪宝山要起暴风雪了，海珠跑来给我们报信来了！我知道发生这种情况她一定会来的！皮埃尔咱们快下山！请你照着我的样子，双手抱头保护好自己，从山上滑下去！我曾经滑过，用不了半小时。

58▶▶“You two guys are straightforward,I know it.Besides,your purpose didn’t escape me at the very beginning. Still I take your challenge since I make no strangers of you. Instead,I see you as my friends!All the colleagues in our club shall be taken friends!”Pierre cut in and panted slowly,“In the scaring place quite close to the heaven,facing the Qinghai Lake as a huge mirror of life and getting on much with friends like you with pure heart,I have in these days comprehended and understood many things.One is the actual meaning of friends.True friends,including the foreign friends,would do to each other whole-heartedly without giving a damn about purposes,properties,victory or defeat, the right or wrong,the rich or poor,the young or old,as well as the racial differences.So,sincere as we are to each other,we can make good and true friends,is that right?”Kama kept nodding in agreement.

59▶▶Just at the moment,the alarm on Pierre’s car key went off,and instinctively Pierre looked down the mountain. With the eye-catching burning words——come down now——coming into view,he spotted also that the ambulance was parked right beside the coach vehicle.“Kama! Look!An emergency!Haichu has driven her ambulance there.”yelled out Pierre.Amid the cries,Kama knew at once what had happened.Very carefully,Kama observed the sky and gabbled out,“It’s blowing a blizzard here. Haichu must come for that.I know she is bound to come in this case.Coach,we shall leave now!Please pattern yourself on me and slide down the mountain covering your head. My experience says we will in this way be reaching the mountain foot in less than half an hour.”

60◀◀说话间，山上已风声四起，浓雾中，雪片一片叠着一片地飘了下来，暴风雪接着就要来了。卡马冲着还在往上攀爬的贡布大声喊着：贡布快下山！暴风雪来了！贡布快下……喊声中，卡马双手抱头率先滑了下去，紧接着皮埃尔也滑了下去。

61◀◀风儿般的滑行中，皮埃尔一会儿被高高地掀起，一会儿又被重重地抛下，他的脑海里一片空白。但是，他的嘴里却一直都在大声地喊着——海珠！海珠！海珠！……就听“砰”一声，皮埃尔钻进了一蓬灌木，他刚喊了一声：卡马我们下到雪线以下了，我们已到了灌木林了，我们有救……紧接着又是一连串的“砰、砰、砰”声，连续不断的碰撞让皮埃尔一下就失去了知觉。

62◀◀不知过了多久，一阵阵的疼痛将皮埃尔痛醒了，他发现自己只是左臂脱臼了，其他部位都无大碍。他试着站起来，但浑身伤痛让他一阵晕眩，他想再静静地躺一会儿。但是，就在这一瞬间，突如其来的恐惧感将他团团包围。皑皑白雪中，孤独的皮埃尔怕了，他怕把自己孤独地冻死在这儿。恐惧感让他很快地挣扎着站了起来，并不停地大声喊叫着卡马、贡布和海珠。然而，除了大山的回声，四周没有一点点的回应。他用右手把左臂托在胸前，踉踉跄跄沿着滑下来的方向走出了灌丛，他看到了山坡上显显地深深地三道人滑过的痕迹。

60▶▶Just then,the gales were heard from all around and the snowflakes were falling apart:The blizzard was coming.“Gongbu,go down!Blizzard!Go down the...!”shouted Kama at Gongbu who’s still climbing upward. While at the same time,followed closely by Pierre,Kama slid down with the head covered perfectly by his hands.

61▶▶Sliding down as wind,with now a lift high into the air,then a heavy fall,Pierre had his mind gone totally blank.All the same,he kept uttering out loud,“Haichu! Haichu!Haichu!...”Pom!Pierre darted into a clump of bushes and screamed out,“Kama!The bush!We are right below the snowline!We are relieved...”he was not yet finished when more impact sounds——Pom!Pom! Pom!——were heard on top of that.Within seconds,the consecutive collisions had him sunk into unconsciousness.

62▶▶Not knowing how long had passed,Pierre awaked out of a fitful pains finding that he was all right except the dislocation of his left arm.Trying to rise to his feet but simply followed by a turn of dizziness with the sore all over,thus, instinctively,he kept still resting.A sudden terror,however, came over him at this moment.Stuck in the snow-buried area,Pierre was,all by himself,scared of being frozen to death and thus managed to rise to his feet and kept shouting the name of Kama,Gongbu and Haichu.Except the echo of his own words,he went totally unanswered.To his terror and disappointment,Pierre blundered out of the bush following the direction he slid down,with the displaced left arm held on his chest by the right hand,when he spotted three trails left by people sliding deeply engraved in the hillside.

63◀◀就在这时，他隐隐约约听到微弱的呼救声，他定神再细细地听了一会，他断定是卡马在求救，皮埃尔激动地大声喊着：你在哪儿？卡马挺住，我来救你了！说着他连滚带爬地顺着卡马留下的滑过的痕迹找了过去。卡马的求救声越来越近了，皮埃尔寻声找去，终于发现，原来卡马滑进了一条两米多深上宽下窄的岩缝，他的下身被卡在那儿动不了也出不来。卡马看到皮埃尔激动地大声喊着：皮埃尔快帮我！想办法拉我出去！我都快冻僵了，快救我！……别急卡马，挺住了！我在想办法，我一定把你救出来！皮埃尔一边应着，一边四处寻找着救助工具。无奈大雪掩盖了一切，好不容易看到不远处立着一棵碗口粗的小树，他踉跄着跑了过去，连踹带扳地整了一气，累了一身汗，硬是没把它折断。皮埃尔坐在小树下喘着粗气，摸着这棵平日一把就能拉倒的小树，深深叹息道：自然面前人类才是最脆弱的。这时，岩缝里卡马还在不停地呼唤着，一声比一声凄凉。皮埃尔知道凭自己现在这样的身体状况，这棵树是扳不倒用不成了，只能另想办法了。可是四周一片苍茫，哪儿才能找到营救工具呢，把个皮埃尔急得直拍大腿。突然，再次拍向大腿的手停下了，他像发现了新大陆一样，急忙跌跌撞撞不顾一切地往岩缝跟前跑。边跑边不停地喊着：卡马我有办法了，你要挺住！我来救你！听到皮埃尔这么一喊：卡马也打起了精神，激动地喊着：你有什么好办法？快告诉我！皮埃尔在岩缝旁边脱着鞋边说：我把穿的绒裤脱下来，我抓一头你抓一头，我把你拉上来……他的话还没说完，卡马便连连说：不行！这么冷的天你千万别脱绒裤，暴风雪会把你冻坏的……

63▶▶Just at that moment,some faint cries faraway for help come to his ears.Composing himself hearing of the sounds for another moment,he concluded it must be Kama.“Where are you?Kama!Hold on!I am coming for you!”exclaimed Pierre with excitement.While saying,hurriedly, he floundered and crawled along the trace left to Kama.As he approached,the faint cries came closer.Finally,it turned out that Kama’lower part was stuck perfectly in a fissure,more than two meters deep,wide at the top and narrow at the bottom.“Coach!Help!Get me out!I am nearly frozen!Help me out!...”cried Kama out excitedly at the sight of Pierre.“Hold on!Kama,I am thinking ways!I will get you out soon!”replied Pierre while searching for rescue tools.However,the heavy snows have had everything all but covered.With efforts,Pierre spotted a small tree stood out nearby bearing the thickness as the mouth of a bowl.Hurriedly,he wobbled to the tree and managed to snap it off to exhaustion but failed with sweat all over.Breathing in ragged gasps,Pierre sat under the tree which could otherwise be pulled down easily in his normal condition and touched it sighing deeply,“Humans are really the most vulnerable one in face of the harsh nature.”Then, Kama kept moaning louder and things were getting worse. Fully understanding the tree could hardly be dealt with in such poor physical condition,Pierre had to turn to other alternatives.A pool of vast white enveloped him,and Pierre patted his lap anxiously since it was all but impossible to obtain rescu e tools in such environment.Abruptly,he stopped,as if he had found a New World,to blunder desperately to the fissure.“Kama,I have it!You just hold on!I am coming!”cried Pierre out loud while running. Listening to these words,Kama pulled himself together as well and yelled in excitement,“What’s it?Tell me!”“It is my sweat pants!You take its one end,and I take the other,thus I can pull you out...”replied Pierre while slipping off his shoes beside the fissure.“No!Don’t take off your pants!Never and ever!You must be freezing in the blizzard...”Kama cut in without hearing Pierre out.

64◀◀可是他的话没说完,皮埃尔的绒裤腿已掉到了眼前。卡马，山一样的汉子的双眼模糊了，他咬咬牙，一口叼住了裤腿，紧紧地用牙全力地咬住。他试着用力拽了拽，就听见皮埃尔在上面大喊：我还没让你拽你就拽，你个笨——你想把我也拽下去陪你呀！卡马抬头一看“扑哧”一声笑了，原来趴在地上面的皮埃尔也用嘴叼着裤腿的另一头。卡马心里暗暗地叨叨了一句：再笨的尕獒在帐子里蹲久了也能学会叼奶桶子，这小子真是要当我们的女婿了，要不怎么做啥都和我们的一样呢？

65◀◀随着皮埃尔竖起大拇指做了个向上顶了顶的动作，卡马连忙一只手抓住运动裤腿，另一只手反撑住岩壁用力地向上推，借助着皮埃尔手嘴并用拼命地一拽，卡马终于被拖出了岩缝。当卡马爬出岩缝时，发现满身伤痕的皮埃尔已经昏倒在雪地上。他喊叫着皮埃尔的名字爬了过去，一把抱住皮埃尔被冻得铁青的双腿，心疼地想用自己的体温去焐暖它。这时，他才发现自己因为太久地被卡在岩缝里，热量大量地流失和消耗，早已经没有焐暖皮埃尔的热量了。卡马挣扎着几次想扶起皮埃尔，但是都因为体力不支未能扶起，他无奈地望着为了救出自己而被冻伤昏死过去的皮埃尔，大声地哀嚎起来：天啊！谁来救救我的朋友？谁来救？大力金刚护法神！大力金刚护法神！……

64▶▶But the sweat pants had already dropped onto the ground before he could finish his words.Kama,a man of iron will,gritted his teeth and snapped the pants leg tightly, his eyes dimming with tears.Then,he attempted making a pull forcefully.“You blockhead．．．for what are you pulling without my instruction?Do you want to drag me down?”yelled Pierre out on the spot.Raising his head,Kama burst into a chuckle when seeing that Pierre too lay on the ground holding the other pants leg in his mouth.“It’s an ill Tibetan mastiff puppy that can not hold the milk bucket with much seeing in a tent.This guy is doomed to be marrying our girl,otherwise his way of doing things would be in no way identical to ours.”Kama thought to himself.

65▶▶When Pierre held up his thumb as a sign to move,Kama quickly held onto the pants leg with his one hand and with another pressed hard against the cliff walls for a force upward,and well with a desperate drag from Pierre using both his hands and mouth,Kama was eventually pulled out of the fissure.When Kama climbed out,Pierre was found to have fallen swooning to the earth with injuries all over his body.Calling Pierre loudly,Kama crawled over to him and squeezed his legs turning livid with cold real tight, in an attempt to warm them up with his body.Only at this moment,however,did Kama find that the heat in his body had gone in so large quantities as to be unable to support Pierre anymore.For quite a few times,Kama managed to stagger to his feet standing Pierre up but failed for lack of physical strength.Looking helplessly to Pierre who,for the sake of his life,went off into a dead faint out of frostbite, Kama wailed out loud,“Good Heavens!Who’s gonna help my friend?Who?rDo-rje Shugs-ldan!(or Dorje Shugden, a dharma protector)rDo-rje Shugs-ldan!...”

66◀◀雪片渐渐地掩盖住了他的全身，就在行将陷入昏迷的时候，卡马听到了贡布的呼唤声，他用尽全身力气大叫了几声：贡布我们在这儿！……就昏了过去。

67◀◀贡布其实离这儿也很近，卡马的哀嚎他听得很清，只是由于冰雪中迷宫般的灌木丛挡住了他寻声而去的道路。他左钻钻右找找费了好大劲终于走出了灌木丛，当他清楚地看到山下燃烧的大字和停放着的救护车及抱着袍子攀爬上来的海珠时，贡布犹豫了，他知道往山下走很快就会脱离险境，就能安全地返回。他的潜意识也已经在想：穿上海珠送来的棉袍子，那该多暖和呀！海珠开着救护车将自己送回基地，再饱饱地喝上一盆羊汤，那该有多美呀！

68◀◀就在这时，贡布又一次听到了卡马的声声哀嚎：谁来救我……朋友……大力金刚护法神！大力金刚护法神……面对着走下去就是生存，返回去将面临生命危险的抉择，原本犹豫不决的贡布醒悟了，他毅然决然地选择了后者。他大声呼喊着卡马的名字又钻回了灌木丛。

66▶▶Gradually,Kama was covered all over by the snowflakes and just as he was about to slip onto unconsciousness,the callings from Gongbu came vaguely to him.“Gongbu!We are right here!”shouted Kama out loud by all his strength before he fainted.

67▶▶Actually,Gongbu had made most of the sounds of Kama since he was just a little distance off,all the same he was blocked up by the maze of bushes on his way to save. Finally,with immense effort,he beat out a path and walked himself out of the bushes.Then,very clearly,he spotted the burning words on the mountain foot and the ambulance as well as Haichu who was climbing upward with robes.It’s a dilemma!If he determined to leave Pierre and Kama and dashed down the mountain,he could return to the cycling base in safety.Gongbu found it hard to make the decision and subconsciously he began to imagine——How nice it will be to put on the Tibetan robe enjoying the warmth wherein,and take a good plate of mutton soup after being driven back comfortably in Haichu’s ambulance.

69◀◀在赶上来的海珠的帮助下，贡布毫不犹豫地将皮埃尔和卡马一个个地背下了山。只是当他艰难地背起皮埃尔的一瞬间，他回过头深情地望了海珠一眼。望着贡布踉跄下山的背影，海珠在心里暗暗地说了句：谢谢你！走步！

70◀◀那天，确确实实是贡布将卡马和皮埃尔背下山的。也是贡布将他们一个个轻轻地放在了火堆旁的。他在做这一切时又是那样的无声无息，又是那样的顺畅自然。但是，筋疲力尽的贡布在那一刻也没有忘记向海珠伸手做了个OK的手势，示意自己获得了这次比赛的第一。对贡布的做法海珠只是淡淡地一笑，一声也没吭，只是专心地忙着给他们三个人穿着袍子，让贡布静静地独自待了一会儿。体能耗尽的贡布没撑多久，也累得昏睡了过去。

71◀◀那天夜里，那堆牛粪火烧得真旺，把火堆四周两米范围的地面都烧得和热炕一般。海珠静静地坐在地上，鼻子里轻轻地哼着大湖周边久远传唱的歌谣：翱翔高天的雄鹰，有一双明亮的眼睛；驰骋千里的骏马，有一副神奇的宝鞍；结实如山的阿哥，有一位尕妹的牵挂；美丽善良的姑娘，就是心上人的港湾……

68▶▶Just at this moment,once again,Gongbu heard the incessant wails form Kama,“Who’s gonna help me…friend…rDo-rje Shugs-ldan!rDo-rje Shugs-ldan!...”Stuck in the choice of whether going down for survival or going back for friends,Gongbu soon came to his senses and resolutely chose the latter.Yelling out for Kama,he went back into the bushes seeking without hesitation.

69▶▶With the help of Haichu coming later,Gongbu carried Pierre and Kama on his back down the mountain one by one.For a split second he labored to have Pierre on his back,he turned around casting Haichu a loving look.Staring at the back of Gongbu tottering down the mountain,Haichu said on the bottom of her heart,“Thanks!Chogbo!”

70▶▶It was exactly Gongbu who managed to carry Kama and Pierre down the mountain that day and put them carefully by the fire one by one.Furthermore,he did all these in a way so quietly and naturally.After settling them well exhaustingly,however,Gongbu did make the OK sign with his fingers telling Haichu he won the climbing contest. Haichu just smiled a slight smile and devoted to put on robes for them three without uttering a single word.Gongbu stayed here by himself silently for a little while and then flaked out in exhaustion.

71▶▶That night,the heap of dairy manure burned briskly making the surrounding grounds within two meters hot as heated floors.Seated calmly on the earth,Hiachu was humming a long-standing song that had been prevailing along the lake:A hawk is hovering high in the skies How keen and sharp are his eyes;A steed gallops through a thousand miles His shining saddle works miracles;The mountain-like man owns the love of a nymph The tenderness of her heart,his paradise!

72◀◀她的面前并排躺着卡马、皮埃尔和贡布。月光中海珠的脸颊显得那么的红美，除了牛粪火炽热的烘烤因素，另外一个原因就是三双男人冰冷的大脚一直紧紧地被她捂在怀中，三双男人的大脚在她的胸乳上轻轻地蠕动让她的脸为此羞得绯红。

73◀◀那晚上，三个人当中最早醒来的是皮埃尔。当他发现自己的大脚丫蹬在海珠那两团热羊尾般的乳峰上时，皮埃尔再也无法控制自己的感情，一个仰卧起坐，双臂一下将海珠紧紧地搂在自己的怀里，两个爱恋的人深深地吻在了一起，久久地没有分开。后来卡马慢慢地醒过来了，一看当时皮埃尔和妹妹这般的情景，他没有吭一声，悄悄地抽出了自己被妹妹捂着的双脚，继续假装昏迷不醒，静静地睡了一夜。贡布是最后一个醒来的，看到皮埃尔和海珠那样的爱恋，他一声没吭地转过了头，将痛苦暗暗地藏在了心底。

74◀◀第二天一大早，他们全都安全地返回了基地，并且很快康复。但是，关于他们的这段故事却在当地流传了许久许久。

75◀◀后来，据卡马说，那夜，只有皮埃尔和海珠一对一答。就是皮埃尔深情地问：海珠你愿意嫁给我吗？海珠高兴地答：嫁！嫁！嫁！

72▶▶Lying in line on the ground were Kama,Pierre and Gongbu in face of Haichu whose cheeks appeared to be aflame and nice in the moonlight.Actually,the blush on her face came partly from the lavishly burning dairy manure and partly from the fact that she had been clutching tightly to her bosom the frozen big feet of the three guys whose tiny unconscious movements on her breast did make the girl rather bashful.

73▶▶Pierre was the first one who came around that night.When feeling through his feet the soft breasts as the warm ewe tails,Pierre lost control of his emotion and sat up suddenly,lapping Haichu affectionately in his arms.The lovers were kissing so hard on the lips totally unaware of the track of time.Gradually,Kama came to life,spotting Pierre and his sister,Haichu.Without uttering a word,he had very gently his feet moved out of her breasts and pretended to be still in faint sleeping for the whole night.Gongbu was the last one rallying from the coma.He just turned around silently at the sight,hiding the pains and disappointments deep in his heart.

74▶▶Early the next morning,they all returned in safety and recovered soon.Their story,however,went around long with different versions in locals.

76◀◀可是贡布却说，那夜，只有海珠说了一句话，就是海珠问皮埃尔：你是贵族吗？皮埃尔听罢，一声都没吭地干坐了一夜。但是，卡马和贡布都说海珠的歌声那一夜一直都没停。

77◀◀至于卡马和贡布到底谁说的正确？这个话题没争几天就没有人再想听了。因为，大湖周边的人们都知道，有个法国尕娃娶了当地一位善良美貌的姑娘去了巴黎。不久，他们又回到大湖旁的自行车基地，再也没有离开那里。

75▶▶According to Kama,what happened that night was nothing more than a short conversation between Pierre and Haichu:Pierre asked Haichu affectionately,“Will you marry me?”“I do!I do!”replied Haichu merrily.

76▶▶Gongbu,however,had another story that went: Haichu just asked Pierre,“Are you a nobleman?”and Pierre answered nothing but was seated silently for the whole night.Nevertheless,both Kama and Gongbu admitted Haichu kept humming the soothing songs overnight.

77▶▶Just a couple of days later,nobody cared whichever version was true,because any local folk around Qinghai Lake could tell you that a French young guy married a kind and beautiful local girl and went to Paris.Before long,they returned to the cycling base,making it their permanent home...

[1]Sun and Moon Mountain and Reverse River are both concerned with Wencheng Princess who married the Tibetan king in Tang Dynasty.It is said when Wencheng Princess left the capital,the emperor,Lishimin bestowed the sun and moon mirror to her.When Wencheng Princess arrived here,suddenly she felt surging and cried greatly.Allegedly after her tears fell on the ground, they became a river immediately,Wencheng Princess was afraid that the river flowed to east and her parents would see.So in order to avoid their worry and missing,Wencheng Princess prayed to Heaven and hoped that river flowed to west.Her real feeling moved Heaven and the river reversed its direction.Later the river is called Reverse River.Wencheng Princess broke the sun and moon mirror resolutely to show the decision of promoting culture exchanges of Han and Tibet as her own task and the Sun and Moon Mountain came into being.
