It is a real pleasure to be here to open the third meeting of our forum and to be welcoming such a distinguished and influential group of people from both our countries， many of whom are now old friends. The forum aims to represent the strength of the relationship between our two cities outside the political relationship and looking around today it is clear that the relationship is very strong indeed.

10. As we start the year of the Tiger， I look forward to continuing to strengthen the US-China relationship. In the coming year， we hope to welcome President Hu Jintao to the United States and to continue positive and cooperative practices at the next round of the Strategic Economic Dialogue. I'm committed to ensuring that the cooperation between our two countries will enhance the bilateral relationship and meet the challenges currently facing the global community.
