10 什么是人情? What is renqing?
Renqing literally means“human feelings or kindness”that enable a bilateral harmonious flow of personal or social transactions among family members or associates.Such human kindness includes parent's love toward children，filial piety for parents from children，happy interpersonal relations among brothers and sisters，and the like.
In social transactions，renqing works as a kind of tangible service or an abstract emotion.There is a popular old saying，“If you give me a drop of water，I will repay you with a bubbling spring(滴水之恩，涌泉相报).”The saying indicates that you should keep firmly in mind the favors other people have done for you and doubly repay a favour whenever an opportunity permits.Those who are aware of“giving”and“taking”are always regarded as people with conscience.
