特点和研究方法的若干思考

美国学者在对中国学研究的过程中，从未中断过对这一研究过程和研究道路的总结和反思，从20世纪初开始到现在，这样的著作、论文、总结报告已经积累不少。这些回顾、分析和研究，重点在对中国学研究进程中的成果、方法、理念的反思，而这些研究，每每在中国学发展的进程中起到有重要的方法论意义的作用，乃至对整体发展大局有引领作用。如同中国的《史通》、《文史通义》，这是学术史研究中十分重要的理论成果。要对美国中国学展开研究，应十分重视这类学术总结与学术反思的成果，注意相关文献的搜集、诸多研究类型的探讨，以及学术价值的判断和分析。以科学的、批判的眼光分析和借鉴这些研究成果，对我们的研究是至关重要的。目前海外各国对中国的研究成果也越来越多，中国学者应该对海外学者的中国学研究有及时、良好的反馈和科学、系统的反研究。

American scholars have never stopped reviewing and reflecting during the process of their studies on China.Many works，papers and reports have emerged since the beginning of the 20th century.These reviews，analyses and studies focused on the reflections on the fruits，methods and theories of China Studies，and played major roles of methodology and guidance in the evolution of China Studies as a whole.As China’s Shitong and Wenshi Tongyi，these are also important theoretical achievements for the studies of intellectual history. Emphasis should be laid on these achievements of academic reviews and reflections in order to develop our research on China Studies in the United States of America.Collection of related literature，study of the research paradigms，and analysis of academic values shall help us achieve this goal.It is crucial to our studies for us to analyze these achievements from scientific and critical perspectives.China is rising on the world and more and more studies have been done on China.Chinese scholars should have a timely and good feedback and a scientific and systematic counter-study of foreign scholars’studies on China.

对美国中国学的研究已经有若干年了。我们在研究过程中发现，将近一百年里，伴随着美国中国学的发展，美国学者对自己中国学研究进程的回顾、总结和反思工作一直没有间断过，积累了颇丰富的论著和成果。这一问题本身就很值得研究，也有利于我们对美国中国学整体发展史的研究和探讨。
