Qiandao Lake(千岛湖)

Good morning!Welcome to Qiandao Lake!

Qiandao Lake，located in Chun'an County，the west of Hangzhou，Zhejiang Province，is one of China's first-class national scenic spots and is currently its largest national forest park.The lake covers 570 square kilometers and has over a thousand differently sized islands.Besides the surrounding green hills and large numbers of animals and plants，it is also famous for its water.The average depth of the water here is more than one hundred feet and the visibility in the water is twenty two to twenty nine feet.This national first-class water is pure enough to be drunk directly from the lake.

In recent years Qiandao Lake has developed over twenty travel sites，having different features.

Meifeng Mountain

Now we are in the Meifeng Mountain.Set in the middle of the lake，this is the best part of Qiandao Lake and is named after five conjoined mountains.It resembles a plat blossom and is famed for its beautiful natural scenery and perfect environment.The sight-seeing platform in this section is by far the best place to view the surrounding area.The other one is Ostrich Island.On this island visitors can feed ostriches，take photos of them，and even ride on their backs.

Stone Forest

Now we can see the Stone Forest.This section is made up of three parts，the Xishan，Turquoise，and Hawksbill sections，covering 10 square kilometers.It is called“the first stone-forest in East China”.With strange stones，cliffs，elf caves and an ancient path，it embodies both calm and beauty.

Dragon Hill(Long Shan)

Then we are going to the Dragon Hill.It consists of Dragon Hill and Five-Dragon Island.The Hairui Temple was built here by the local people to commemorate Hairui，a famous official of the Qing Dynasty，who once served as head of this county. Hairui Memorial Temple is the essential structural work piece and includes wood，stone，and brick carvings.There is also over twenty pieces of poem steles in Hairui Memorial Temple.A bell tower stands on top of the Dragon Hill.

Xian Hill(Xian Shan)

Xian Hill lies in the southeast area of the lake and includes Xian Hill，Tian Chi(a pond)，Guihua Island(Guihua Dao)，and Mi Hill(Mi Shan).Xian Hill has trees which bear fruit all year round.The scenery on other parts of the hill is also charming and beautiful.

Animal-Series

Animal-Series section is mainly made up of three areas: Monkey Island，which has over five hundred monkeys including Honghe monkey，Sichuan short-tail monkey，and red-face monkey; Peacock Garden，where white，blue，green and variegated peacocks are raised; and Magic Dragon Island，which actually is an island of snakes，where visitors can play with them and watch special shows.

Qiandao Lake is located in the center of tour route of“Hangzhou-Qiandao Lake-Huangshan”，so it is very convenient to get there.Now there aremore than thirty hotels providing over seventy-five hundred beds.What interests some people the most is the food here-the forest here produces large amount of edible plants and fresh water fish is also abundant.

Qiandao Lake isalso a place of historic interest.This is the hometown of Sun Quan，the King of Wu，during the Three Kingdoms Period.It is the ancient town of Fuyang Longmen，where Sun Quan's descendants have continually gathered up through the present day.It is reported recently that he descendants of Liu Bei，the king of Shu during Three Kingdoms Period were also found in Fuyang.Now the descendants of Sun Quan，Liu Bei，and Zhu Geliang are all in Fuyang.

千岛湖位于浙江省淳安县境内，毗邻杭州市西，是国家首批公布的风景名胜区之一，也是目前国内最大的国家级森林公园。湖面约570平方千米，内有大小岛屿1000多个。千岛湖平均水深度超过30米，在水中能见度约6.6～9米，作为全国一流的纯净水，它可以直接饮用。近年来，千岛湖上已经开发了20多个旅游景区，特色各异。

梅峰景区

现在我们所在的地方就是梅峰景区，它位于湖的中央，是千岛湖最好的景区，以五座相连的岛屿而命名。它像一个茂盛的花园，以景色自然和环境优美而著称。现在我们来到的观景平台是迄今为止千岛湖的最佳观赏地点。另一边是鸵鸟岛，游客可在这里给鸵鸟喂饲料，拍照留念。

石林

现在大家可以看到石林。这个景区由三个部分组成:西山部分、黛玉部分和怪石部分，景区占地10平方千米。它被称为“华东第一石林”。景区以“怪石、悬崖、古道、灵洞”为景观内容，峰林造型奇特，古道深幽静谧。

龙山

现在我们将前往龙山。它包括龙山和五龙岛两个部分，这里有海瑞祠，是当地人为纪念清代著名的官员，曾担任过县官的海瑞而修建的。海瑞祠堪称龙山岛建筑的精华所在，建筑雕梁画栋，有大量的木雕、石雕和砖雕，此外，还有20多块海瑞亲笔作诗的碑石。在龙山的最顶端矗立着一座钟楼。

羡山

羡山位于千岛湖东南湖区，包括天池、桂花岛、蜜山岛。羡山上的树木四季常青，山上其他地方的风景同样美丽迷人。

动物岛群

动物岛群主要有三个部分:猴岛(喂养了500多只猴子，包括红河猴、四川短尾猴、红面猴等)、孔雀园(有白的、蓝的、绿的和其他混色的孔雀)和神龙岛。这里实际上是一个蛇岛，游客们可以和它们一起玩耍，并参观专门的展览。

千岛湖地处“杭州-千岛湖-黄山”旅游线路的中心位置，交通非常便利。景区现有30多家酒店，提供超过75100个床位。游客们对千岛湖最感兴趣的是这里的美食--景区的森林里有大量可食用的植物，大家还可以享用这里独特的淡水鱼。

千岛湖也是一个历史文化名胜地，是三国时期东吴王孙权的故里，这里的另一个城市，阜阳龙门古镇是孙权子孙的聚居地。据报道，最近在阜阳还发现了三国时期蜀国刘备的后裔，现在孙权、刘备和诸葛亮的后裔都聚集在了阜阳。
